Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jason Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Georges Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Georges Pierre was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jason Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Georges Pierre ! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pierre keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Green is looking to clinch. Pierre gets a clinch. Pierre is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Green pulls him back up using the underhooks. Green missing with knees to the body.
Pierre drops down looking for an ankle pick but Green pulls his leg out and moves away.
Green looks to clinch and Pierre counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Green looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Green keeping moving, preventing Pierre from controlling successfully. Green is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Pierre trying to hold on to Green's head to control him but Green postures up.
Green passes to full mount! Green jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Pierre is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Pierre and Green has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green throwing shots but missing, from side control. Green throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Pierre keeps Green under control for a moment. Green scoring with punches from side control. Pierre manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Green sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Pierre defending well though. The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Green not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Green is pressing down on Pierre 's thigh, looking to free his foot. Pierre is holding on for now. Green throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Green has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pierre tries to hold on but Green pushes him away. Green throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Green avoids the attempt from Pierre to control. Pierre is working to get back to half guard.
Green looking to control but Pierre is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Green goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Pierre is on top in guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pierre got a little sloppy there for a moment and Green has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pierre has managed to get both his arms back between Green's legs - danger averted.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green looking to hit a scissor sweep but Pierre is one step ahead there. Pierre trying to control but Green is working from the bottom. Green looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Green working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pierre doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pierre manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Pierre with a nice head shot there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Green throws his legs up looking for a submission but Pierre uses it to pass to side control.
Green is looking for a sweep. Green is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Green is looking to improve his position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Georges Pierre will probably get the nod. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Green has his takedown stuffed and Pierre counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Green's guard now. Green has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Pierre is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Green. Green manages to get back to half guard. Green looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Green is looking to get back to full guard here but Pierre has managed to pass to side control instead. Green gets back to half guard. Pierre prevents Green from improving his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green is working hard here to advance position. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Green wants to get back to full guard but Pierre has passed into side control. Pierre working Green over with strikes here. Green is desperately trying to improve his position but Pierre has a good base and remains in mount. Pierre trying to control but he's not successful this time. Green is looking to get to half guard. Green regains half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Green tries to regain full guard. Instead though, Pierre has advanced to mount. Uh oh. Green is wriggling around trying to escape.
Green bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Green is in close to Pierre 's body, working some short punches and elbows.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green passes into half guard. Green seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Green seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Pierre does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Green is stalling here. Pierre is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Green seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Pierre has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work. Green is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard. Green tries to roll over but Pierre keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pierre trying to control from half guard but Green is working away. Green wants to improve his position but Pierre is controlling well.
Pierre throws a strike but Green avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Green wants to sweep here but Pierre controlling him for the moment. Pierre stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Georges Pierre will probably get the nod - 10:9. That's time! Green's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. And we move into the final round!
Pierre with a poor takedown and Green decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pierre 's guard. Pierre is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Green trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Green throws and elbow that misses. Pierre uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Green's guard. Nice move by Pierre ! Green looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Pierre has picked Green up and slammed him! Green can't keep hold of the triangle and Pierre manages to pass to side control! Green is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Pierre off and has taken his back! Green punches the canvas rather than the man. Pierre avoids the strikes from Green. Green is landing with strikes. Pierre can't take much more of this. Pierre takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Green missing with punches from the back. Green gets his hands free as Pierre looks to control.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pierre is keeping busy.
Green trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Pierre doesn't escape. Even with his hooks in, Green manages to miss with strikes from the back. Green lands a punch to the side of the head from the back. Green scores with punches to the body. Green looking for the rear naked choke. And he's got it! Pierre taps!
