Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Aadyn Gibbs (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jean Sebastien Blais (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Blais is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Metallica - One. Jean Sebastien Blais will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Blais lands a big shot there that rocks Gibbs but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Blais has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Blais tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Blais has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Gibbs's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
BOOM! Blais connects with a massive shot to the dome!

Blais has hold of Gibbs's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Gibbs manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Blais jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Gibbs manages to avoid the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Blais wants to lay and pray for a moment but Gibbs keeps working.

You can see the frustration on Gibbs's face as Blais controls the position.

Blais dives in and grabs Gibbs's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gibbs pushes down on Blais's head and hops out.

and Gibbs decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Blais's guard.

Jean Sebastien Blais has got the better of the ground game so far.
Blais takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Gibbs's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

He's hopped off into side control, looking to tighten the submission... is it going to work? He's given up a good position looking for it. Gibbs looks OK. Oh, I spoke too soon, he's out! That must have been tighter than I thought! Excellent work there by Blais! Submission of the night perhaps?
