Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ed Valquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lolly Pop (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
14 - 6 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Ed Valquez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lolly Pop! The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Wesley Smith and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Pop misses with a leg kick and Pop takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Valquez connects with a good right hand that stumbles Pop. Pop circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Valquez falls off balance throwing a combination
enabling Pop to counter with a crisp jab. Lolly Pop seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Pop takes a kick to the side of the head. Valquez lands a body shot.
Pop attempts a low kick but it misses it's target. Valquez misses with a low kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valquez throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Pop fails with the takedown and Valquez counters with a leg kick. A low kick from Pop misses and Valquez counters with a head kick. Pop shoots in and drives through. Valquez sprawls well. Valquez avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Valquez tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Pop is looking to land body kicks. Pop takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Pop throws a leg kick and Valquez counters with a nice leg kick. Valquez misses with a wild body shot. Valquez walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Pop lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Pop misses with a leg kick and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valquez misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Pop.
Valquez misses with a hook to the body
and Pop counters with a good, hard body kick but Valquez shrugs it off. Valquez connects with a high kick. A solid leg kick lands there for Valquez.
Pop doesn't succeed with the takedown and Valquez counters with a leg kick. Ed Valquez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lolly Pop.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Valquez fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Pop. Pop misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Pop avoids a punch combination nicely.
Pop pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Valquez with a nice cross. A leg kick checked by Valquez. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ed Valquez dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Pop throws a leg kick but Valquez moved away. Pop misses with a left hand letting Valquez counter with a right hand. A head kick by Pop misses and Valquez counters with a thumping low kick. Valquez walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Pop checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Valquez is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Pop. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Valquez avoids the body shot from Pop.
Pop with a lazy takedown attempt and Valquez counters with a low kick, right behind Pop 's knee.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pop throws a lazy head kick and Pop takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Valquez throws an off balance right hand
and Pop counters with a straight right hand. Valquez fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Pop lands a nice leg kick that just misses Valquez's sensitive parts. Pop throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena. Ed Valquez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Pop throws a leg kick that is checked and Valquez counters with a three punch combo that has Pop backing up. Pop nods at Valquez to acknowledge the strikes. Valquez throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Pop counters with a slapping leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pop misses with a two punch combination.
Pop tries a head kick but it misses.
Valquez will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Pop is looking to slow Valquez down with leg kicks. A low kick from Pop misses and Valquez counters with an inside leg kick. Pop throws a lazy head kick and Valquez connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valquez throws a left and a right that both miss
and he gets countered with a snapping leg kick. Pop fails with the takedown and Valquez counters with a straight right hand. Pop is trying desperately to land a takedown but Valquez is having absolutely none of it. This is turning into a bit of a nightmare for Pop. Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Pop. Valquez shrugs it off though. Valquez misses with a series of wild punches.
A head kick by Valquez misses and Pop counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pop throws a strike but Valquez rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top. Pop pulls Valquez in to control the position. Pop looking to hit a scissor sweep but Valquez is one step ahead there. Valquez drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Valquez jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Valquez won't allow Pop to sweep him here. Valquez wants to get up but he can't break Pop's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Valquez postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Ed Valquez will probably get the nod. That's time! Valquez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
Valquez jabs Pop right on the nose. Pop blinks but takes it well. Valquez scores with a body shot.
Pop slips a jab from Valquez. Valquez scores with a nice strike. Pop throws a leg kick that is checked and Valquez counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Valquez throws a sloppy head kick and Pop counters with a stiff right hand. Valquez lands a jab to Pop's midsection.
That's one minute gone in the round. Valquez ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Pop changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Valquez tries to avoid it but Pop manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Valquez to the ground. Valquez escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Valquez misses with the body kick so Pop counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Pop trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Pop takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Valquez throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
Valquez looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Valquez wants to get back to his feet but Pop is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Valquez working for a triangle but Pop defends it easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pop looking to sit in guard and control but Valquez gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Pop scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Valquez throws a leg kick and Pop counters with a shoot takedown. Valquez fights it but they end up in guard. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Valquez looking for a sweep. Not yet Valquez, not yet. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Valquez utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Valquez bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Pop's guard. Pop is trying to control the position but Valquez postures up. Pop pulls Valquez in close to his closed guard and prevents Valquez from doing any damage or advancing position. Pop keeping moving, preventing Valquez from controlling successfully. Valquez with a nice head shot there. Pop has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Valquez can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Pop wants to sweep here but Valquez controlling him for the moment. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pop keeping moving, preventing Valquez from controlling successfully. Valquez is looking to work some ground and pound but Pop has wrist control. Valquez wants to pass the guard but Pop is keeping the position. Valquez preventing the sweep. Valquez is working Pop over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Valquez stays in close to Pop's body and controls the position. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Valquez avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Pop has a closed guard, preventing Valquez from standing up.
And that's the end of the fight! I would just about give that final round to Lolly Pop. I think Valquez has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
