The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scissors throws a head kick that misses
and Smith counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Scissors throws a low kick but Smith avoids it.
Smith tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Scissors paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Scissors lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Smith scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Scissors doesn't seem bothered though.

Smith throws a looping overhand right but Scissors ducks down to avoid it.

Scissors changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Smith looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Scissors tries to close the distance and clinch but Smith swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Smith shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Scissors pinned against the cage. Scissors gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Smith is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.
Scissors tries to throw a body punch but Smith avoids it by throwing Scissors back against the cage.

Scissors shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Smith's guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kyle Scissors will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to Marcus Smith.
