Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vitaly Kanashkin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tito Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vitaly Kanashkin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tito Ortiz! The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ortiz blocks a head kick by Kanashkin.
Nice sprawl there from Kanashkin as Ortiz shoots in. Kanashkin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Ortiz counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Ortiz. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Ortiz accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Ortiz forces his way into half guard. Ortiz is trying to control the action in half guard but Kanashkin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. Kanashkin pushes Ortiz off looking to stand but Ortiz dives back in and keeps control.

That's one minute gone in the round. Ortiz tries to pass to full mount but Kanashkin defends it. Kanashkin is trying to stand up here but Ortiz is controlling him well. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Tito Ortiz hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Ortiz shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Kanashkin's guard. Kanashkin is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Ortiz is controlling him.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ortiz trying to control but Kanashkin is working from the bottom. Ortiz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Kanashkin kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup. Ortiz won't allow Kanashkin to get back to his feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tito Ortiz has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Ortiz moves away from the strike by Kanashkin. Ortiz slips a jab and a cross from Kanashkin.
Ortiz has his takedown stuffed and Kanashkin counters with a nice uppercut. Ortiz shoots in but Kanashkin avoids the takedown attempt easily. Vitaly Kanashkin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tito Ortiz. Kanashkin lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Kanashkin is breathing heavily. Ortiz ducks under a wild hook from Kanashkin. Kanashkin misses with a double jab
and Ortiz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kanashkin won't be happy with that. Ortiz just content to control the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ortiz trying to control the position but Kanashkin is working away. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ortiz is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Kanashkin is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Kanashkin is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Ortiz has just dragged him back down to the mat. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Tito Ortiz dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Kanashkin misses with a looping right. Ortiz fails with the takedown. Kanashkin throws a predictable looking body shot
and Ortiz counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kanashkin won't be happy with that. Kanashkin is trying to escape and get back to his feet. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kanashkin trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ortiz in side control, working for a kimura. He's got hold of an arm and he's torquing it... Kanashkin is tapping! That's the end of the fight!
