Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Garland Oars!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sagat Patrang Noi Voravut!
The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oars tries to clinch up but Noi Voravut circles away and keeps his distance.
Oars shoots in for a takedown but Noi Voravut shows good takedown defense.

Oars shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Noi Voravut manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Noi Voravut has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Oars can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Oars trying to move into half guard but instead Noi Voravut has managed to sweep!
Noi Voravut is looking to stand up but Oars won't let him.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Oars is on top in guard.
Oars will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Oars throws and elbow that misses. Noi Voravut uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Oars's guard. Nice move by Noi Voravut!

Noi Voravut drops back looking for a leg! Oars is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Oars manages to kick Noi Voravut off! Noi Voravut jumps back into Oars's guard.
Oars tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Noi Voravut stands and throws Oars's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Oars is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Noi Voravut is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Noi Voravut has gone for a leg lock! Oars slips out almost immediately though and dives into Noi Voravut's guard.
Oars postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Oars got a little sloppy there for a moment and Noi Voravut has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Oars has managed to get both his arms back between Noi Voravut's legs - danger averted.

Oars postures up in Noi Voravut's guard and throws a big left but Noi Voravut blocks it.
Oars lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Oars is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Noi Voravut is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Noi Voravut has escaped and now he's on top!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Garland Oars.
Oars shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Noi Voravut defends it nicely.

Oars wants to clinch up but Noi Voravut keeps it at a distance.

Oars has closed the distance and engaged Noi Voravut in a clinch.

Oars jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Noi Voravut walks away with a smile on his face. Oars gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Noi Voravut tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Oars shoots for a double leg takedown but Noi Voravut sprawls well. He's pushed Oars's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Oars shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Oars was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Noi Voravut tries to reverse the position but Oars maintains control.
Oars cracks Noi Voravut with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Oars has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Noi Voravut's face.
Noi Voravut is in all sorts of trouble here.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Oars, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
