Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between I am Thor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lex Luger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Luger is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Real American. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Luger shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Thor pinned against the cage. Thor gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Luger looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Thor looking for a sweep. Not yet Thor, not yet.
Luger postures up.
Thor on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Thor tries to get out of the position.
Luger sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Thor's guard.

Thor really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Luger wants to pass to mount but Thor is defending the position.

Luger throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Luger seems to be looking for submissions.
Luger wants to take a breather but Thor is having none of it.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Luger slows the pace down in half guard.
Thor is looking to escape.
Thor wants to control but Luger is keeping busy.
Luger drops an elbow to the side of Thor's head.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Luger thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thor's head.
Luger lands with a punch from half guard.

Luger is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Luger is working for a submission of some sort.
Thor has hold of Luger's hands but Luger slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Luger is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Thor sees it coming and defends easily.
Thor tries to kick Luger off in order to stand up. Luger Avoids the leg push though and dives into side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Luger creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Thor sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.
You can see the frustration on Thor's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Thor on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
Thor parries the strikes from Luger easily there. Luger is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Thor to escape.
Luger wants to control but Thor is keeping him busy.
Luger lands a nice forearm strike.

Luger tries for a kimura but Thor is defending well.
Thor looks to move to half guard but instead Luger has passed into mount! Damn!

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Luger is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Thor is surviving well by controlling Luger's body position as best he can.
Luger looking to finish Thor with some ground and pound. This is bad for Thor!
Luger wants to control the pace but Thor is squirming around nicely.
Luger lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Luger is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Thor has managed to escape the submission attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lex Luger dominated that round.

Luger shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Thor sprawls well. Thor wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Luger gets slowly back to his feet.
Thor tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Luger paws at him with a jab and circles away.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Luger.
Thor misses the shot to the body.
Luger looks for a takedown but Thor sprawls well.
I am Thor has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Lex Luger.

Luger shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Thor manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Luger won't allow Thor to sweep him here.
Thor knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Luger on the ground.
Luger slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Luger has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Thor is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Luger yanks on the arm and Thor is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Luger.
