Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between George Richardson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Inoki Yamasaki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Inoki Yamasaki told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, George Richardson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Inoki Yamasaki! The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Columbo Gatti and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Yamasaki blocks a head kick by Richardson.
Yamasaki throws a hook to the side of Richardson's head but Richardson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Thud! ouch! good body kick from Richardson - that will leave a mark!
Richardson throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Richardson tries a head kick but it misses.
Richardson fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. Richardson looks to score with a jab to the body but Yamasaki is just out of range. Richardson is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
A big right from Richardson misses. Yamasaki gets tackled into the cage by Richardson. Richardson maintains the clinch. Richardson misses with an elbow over the top. Richardson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Yamasaki is trying to break the clinch but Richardson is controlling him. Richardson misses with a knee to the head. Yamasaki breaks from the clinch.
Richardson misses with a looping left. Richardson throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Yamasaki. Yamasaki lands a lovely overhand right. Yamasaki throws a series of strikes that have Richardson backpedaling.
Richardson displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Yamasaki throws out the jab. Yamasaki stalks Richardson and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Richardson's face. Richardson staggers backwards, shaken. Richardson tries to move into range but Yamasaki moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand. Richardson throws a left and a right that both miss
and Yamasaki cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Yamasaki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Good shot there by Yamasaki. Nice uppercut lands for Yamasaki. That snapped Richardson's head back.

Yamasaki throws a hook to the side of Richardson's head but Richardson sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Yamasaki thuds his right hand into Richardson's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. George Richardson is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Richardson tries to bum rush Yamasaki with a series of wild strikes but Yamasaki uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Richardson swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

enabling Richardson to counter with a crisp jab. Richardson throws a looping overhand right but Yamasaki ducks down to avoid it. Yamasaki lands a jab to the head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Richardson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Richardson gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Richardson is rocked! Yamasaki misses with a double jab.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Yamasaki works the jab nicely. Oh Richardson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Today's fight clock is brought to you by... OOOH that's a huge shot by Yamasaki! Richardson is in big trouble here - the ref steps in to save him and this one is all over!
