Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Adam Race (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ben Big Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Big Fish has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Adam Race! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ben Big Fish! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Robert Douchet and Dillan Fox.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Big Fish tries to clinch up but Race circles away and keeps his distance. Race has managed to clinch.
Race keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Big Fish's efforts to push away. Race manages to pull guard.
Race tries to land a sweep but no joy. Race throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Race is striking but Big Fish is not phased and passes to half guard. Race regains full guard. Nicely done. Race has control of Big Fish's left arm, preventing Big Fish from doing any damage. Race bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Big Fish's guard. Race seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Race won't allow Big Fish to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Race keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Big Fish's head. Race pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Big Fish is keeping the position for now. Race sitting in guard here, content to control. Big Fish looks gassed! Race cracks Big Fish with a solid left hand. Big Fish throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Race is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Race gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent. Race changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Big Fish looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Race decides to take the fight back to the feet. Race shoots in and gets a takedown into Big Fish's guard. Race advances position into side control! A lull in the action here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Race stands up and we're back to a striking position. Race lands with a thumping leg kick.
Big Fish takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Race. Race has knee on belly and moves into mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Big Fish takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Race is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Big Fish is surviving well by controlling Race's body position as best he can. Big Fish can't escape the position.
Race breaks from Big Fish's wrist control and lands an elbow. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Race content just to control the position here. Race looking for a guillotine from mount but Big Fish is having none of it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Race dominated that round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
Race rushes Big Fish and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Race has Big Fish pressed against the cage, preventing Big Fish from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Race leaning against his opponent.
Big Fish takes a shot to the head. Race gets control of Big Fish's arms and successfully pulls guard. Race will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back. Race escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Big Fish gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Race looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Race controlling Big Fish's posture. Race manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Big Fish manages to get himself to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Big Fish looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Race passes into side control.
Race works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. Race is staying tight to Big Fish's torso, preventing him from escaping. Race working the ground and pound.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Big Fish trying to remain calm as Race controls from the top position. Race tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though. Race is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Big Fish is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Big Fish is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Big Fish stops Race from passing to mount. Race advances to mount. Race connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Big Fish working to try and regain half guard.
Race pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Big Fish wants to hold on but Race pushes him away.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Race takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Big Fish is in a horrible position here. Race smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Race looking to control and managing it successfully. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Race dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Race drives through and clinches with Big Fish against the cage.
Race has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Big Fish is trying to keep an underhook but Race manages to get the takedown into half guard. Race trying to control the action but Big Fish is working from the bottom. Big Fish on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Well, if Race is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Race decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Race shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Big Fish manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Race is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Race sitting in guard here, content to control. Race gets to his feet - Big Fish follows without any prompting. Race shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Big Fish's guard. Adam Race overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Race's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Race trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Race wants to control from the top but Big Fish keeps moving. Big Fish is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Race seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Race stands up from guard. Let's bang!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Race throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Big Fish tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Race is in Big Fish's guard. Big Fish is looking to stand up but Race isn't so interested in that idea. Big Fish looking for a sweep. Not yet Big Fish, not yet. Race trying to control but Big Fish is working from the bottom. Race is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Big Fish can do to turn this around? Big Fish working a defensive guard here.
Race stands up and waves to Big Fish to follow him. Big Fish misses with a jab, cross combination.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Race closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Race is staying tight to Big Fish's torso, preventing him from escaping. Big Fish tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops. Race is riding his opponent, not letting Big Fish buck him off. Ben Big Fish has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Adam Race is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
And that's the end of the fight! Adam Race showed his dominance in that final round. Well Race has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
