Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elspeth Tiriel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Zacharius Pendragon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Elspeth Tiriel has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Elspeth Tiriel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Zacharius Pendragon!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pendragon throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Tiriel was covering up waiting for the punch and Pendragon finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Pendragon stands and steps away. Tiriel gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
No joy there for Pendragon, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Tiriel shoots in and bounces Pendragon off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Pendragon is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Tiriel is aware though and is defending well.

Pendragon working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tiriel doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tiriel manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Pendragon has his foot on Tiriel's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Tiriel works his way back into a safe position though.

Pendragon has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Tiriel is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Pendragon.

Pendragon pushes Tiriel away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Tiriel gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Tiriel scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Pendragon to see if he's OK.
Pendragon tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pendragon can do anything to dispel that myth.
Tiriel wants to stand but Pendragon has his arm trapped.
Tiriel wants to control but Pendragon is keeping him busy.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Pendragon takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
You can see the frustration on Pendragon's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Tiriel tries to move to mount but Pendragon blocks the move with his legs.
Pendragon is trying to get back to half guard.
Pendragon really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tiriel. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Tiriel tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Tiriel has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pendragon gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Pendragon is trying desperately to improve position.
Pendragon is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Tiriel with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Tiriel pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
Pendragon is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
Pendragon sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tiriel is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Pendragon defends it well.

Tiriel got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pendragon has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Tiriel has managed to get both his arms back between Pendragon's legs - danger averted.

Pendragon is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Pendragon looks like he's trying to stand up.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Pendragon wants to improve his position but Tiriel is controlling well.
Tiriel works his foot free and advances to mount.
Pendragon tries to reverse the position but Tiriel maintains control.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Elspeth Tiriel dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Tiriel tries to keep at a distance but Pendragon has taken the fight into the clinch.

Pendragon escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Pendragon misses with a few strikes there.

Tiriel gets tackled into the cage by Pendragon. Pendragon maintains the clinch.

Pendragon breaks the clinch.
Pendragon throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Pendragon tries to bum rush Tiriel with a series of wild strikes but Tiriel uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Tiriel shoots in for a takedown but Pendragon shows good takedown defense.
Tiriel fails with the takedown.
Zacharius Pendragon is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Pendragon fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Tiriel to the ground. Pendragon is now in Tiriel's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Pendragon gets to his feet - Tiriel follows without any prompting.

Tiriel closes the distance and clinches up with Pendragon, looking for a takedown. Tiriel pushes Pendragon against the cage but Pendragon circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elspeth Tiriel. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Pendragon looks to land a combination. Tiriel sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Tiriel shoots in but Pendragon avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Pendragon counters with a single leg into guard. Tiriel didn't expect that.

Pendragon postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Tiriel is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Pendragon, into his guard.

Pendragon escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tiriel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Elspeth Tiriel overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Pendragon looking to hit a scissor sweep but Tiriel is one step ahead there.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Pendragon looking to control.

Pendragon manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Pendragon misses with a takedown attempt - Tiriel sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Nice takedown defense from Pendragon. No joy for Tiriel on that attempt.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Pendragon moves into the clinch.

Pendragon pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pendragon misses with a looping left.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Pendragon has a takedown stuffed.
Pendragon tries to clinch but Tiriel moves out of range.
Horrible takedown by Tiriel or perhaps it was just good defense by Pendragon which made him look bad.

Pendragon manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Tiriel on his heels. He'll look to pass Tiriel's guard now, I'm sure.
Pendragon wants to control from the top but Tiriel keeps moving.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tiriel wants to get back to his feet but Pendragon is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Pendragon is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Pendragon stands up and waves to Tiriel to follow him.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Tiriel tries to score a body lock takedown but Pendragon shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

That's four minutes gone in the round.

Pendragon manages to break the clinch.

Pendragon gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Pendragon has clasped his hands together around Tiriel's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Pendragon has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Tiriel!

Pendragon moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Tiriel has worked his arm free - good work by Tiriel!

Pendragon is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Tiriel is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Tiriel avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Pendragon.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Pendragon tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pendragon has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Zacharius Pendragon showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Pendragon drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Tiriel dives on top into guard.
Tiriel is fighting to break Pendragon's control of his arms but Pendragon is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Pendragon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Tiriel is working away from the top position though.

Tiriel lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Pendragon is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Pendragon is desperately trying to improve his position but Tiriel has a good base and remains in mount.

Pendragon is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Tiriel locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Pendragon is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:51 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Elspeth Tiriel!
