Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wolfgang Gullich (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gena Yourass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yourass comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Bad News kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wolfgang Gullich! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gena Yourass! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gullich uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Yourass. Horrible takedown by Gullich or perhaps it was just good defense by Yourass which made him look bad. Gullich drives through with a takedown into guard. Gullich trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Yourass is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Gullich is controlling him. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Yourass is on top in guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Gullich drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Gullich jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Gullich sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Yourass's guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Yourass is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Gullich scores with a couple of nice shots. Yourass is looking to improve his position.
Gullich wants to advance to full mount but Yourass doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Gullich won't allow Yourass to get back to his feet. Gullich postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Yourass is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Gullich, into his guard. Yourass has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Gullich is proving hard to escape from. Yourass trying to control the position from guard on top but Gullich is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Yourass really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gullich. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Gullich is looking to sinch up a triangle. Yourass throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Gullich's body to avoid the submission. Gullich has instead reached around Yourass's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Gullich arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Wolfgang Gullich!
