Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Choo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dhe Orele (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orele comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Ironman kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Daniel Choo could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Dhe Orele's chin.

With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Dhe Orele!
The judges for this bout are Winston Howard, Hugh Johnson and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orele lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Orele throws a shot from downtown. Choo moves away and avoids it.
Orele lands with a straight right. Choo didn't see that one coming.
Sloppy strikes from Orele. Those never looked like landing.
Orele throws a series of punches but Choo avoids them all with ease.
Dhe Orele seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Orele scores with a jab to the jaw.
Orele tries for a takedown but Choo sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Orele is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Orele works over Choo's head and body with a nice combination.

Orele shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Orele was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Orele throws out a leg kick but Choo moves out of range and Orele only half commits.
Orele has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.
A looping hook to the body misses from Orele. Choo does a little dance to reset his feet.

Choo throws a leg kick which misses Orele's front leg but catches the back leg as Orele tries to avoid it.
Orele fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Choo.
Orele stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Orele looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Choo wants to control but Orele is keeping him busy.
Choo has knee on belly momentarily but Orele bucks him off and regains half guard.
Orele moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Orele lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Choo!

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Choo is just content to waste time from the top position. Orele takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
Orele is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Choo seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Choo stops Orele from standing up.
Orele controls Choo momentarily but Choo frees himself.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Orele checks a leg kick.
Choo does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.

Choo drives through with a takedown into guard.
Choo might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Orele wants to stand and escape but Choo is having none of it.
Orele looking to sweep here. No luck so far.

Choo has gone for a leg lock! Orele slips out almost immediately though and dives into Choo's guard.
Orele must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Orele controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Choo wants to sweep but no luck.
Choo can't keep his opponent in guard - Orele advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Orele not doing much here.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Dhe Orele hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Orele connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Daniel Choo.
I think Choo has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
