Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Aleksei Xan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hari Rama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rama has chosen Helmet - Unsung as his entrance music. The key to victory for Aleksei Xan has got to be keeping the fight on the feet.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Igor Prikhodko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rama shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Rama throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Xan was covering up waiting for the punch and Rama finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Rama tries to free his leg and advance position but Xan is retaining full guard.
Rama is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Rama passes Xan's left leg - he's now in half guard.
Xan makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Xan.

Xan working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rama doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rama manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Rama uses his free foot to push down on Xan's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Xan.
Rama jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Xan manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Rama is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Xan knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.
That kick from Xan tenderised Rama's leg. Rama is trying to keep his angry face on.

Rama fails with the takedown.
Xan scores with a one two! Rama had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Xan throws a leg kick but Rama sees it coming and checks it nicely.
Xan looks to score with a jab to the body but Rama is just out of range.
Rama closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Xan quickly recovers to half guard.

Hari Rama has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rama moves nicely into side control.
Rama is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Xan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Rama tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rama has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Rama has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Xan is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Rama yanks on the arm and Xan is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Rama.
