Corrida has chosen Fallen by Volbeat as his entrance music. Juan Corrida is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Matt Silva! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Juan Corrida! The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Seu Braga and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Corrida looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Sloppy strikes from Silva. Those never looked like landing. Silva throws a series of punches but Corrida moves out of range. Silva throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Silva lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Corrida circles away quickly and effectively. Silva keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.
Corrida bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick. Silva throws a big shot that misses. Corrida darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage. A frustrated look appears on Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch. A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors. Corrida gets underhooks to prevent Silva's takedown attempt.
Corrida keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Silva's efforts to push away. Corrida just leaning against Silva, taking a breather. Silva is trying to drag Corrida to the mat but Corrida just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there. A frustrated look appears on Silva's face as he tries to break the clinch. Silva tries to break the clinch but Corrida is controlling the position. The referee is keeping an eye on Corrida - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Silva has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Corrida's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Silva throws a head kick that looked like it stung.

Silva gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Corrida to score an easy takedown into full guard. Silva keeping moving, preventing Corrida from controlling successfully. Corrida working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Silva's head. Corrida controls the pace of the fight for a moment. I looks like Corrida might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Corrida stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Silva swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Juan Corrida has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Silva takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Silva throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Corrida is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Silva's half guard. Silva is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Silva is breathing heavily. Corrida blocks the strikes from Silva.
Silva won't allow Corrida to pass to mount. Corrida winds up and cracks Silva with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Corrida looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Silva with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Corrida working over Silva with some ground and pound. Silva looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. This has been an exciting period of action! Silva is looking to improve his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Corrida wants to free his trapped foot but Silva is holding on for dear life with his legs. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Corrida is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Corrida looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Corrida is keen to just control but Silva is a slippery customer. Silva makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Silva. Corrida stands up over Silva, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Silva is looking for a triangle here but Corrida uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Silva is trying to improve his position. Corrida working the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Silva taking a bit of punishment here - Corrida scoring with strikes. Silva is not content to let Corrida control the position. Corrida working the ground and pound from side control. Corrida grinds an elbow into Silva's temple. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Silva is trying to improve his position. Corrida is looking to take a break and control but Silva is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Silva is positioning himself to get back to half guard. Silva taking a bit of punishment here - Corrida scoring with strikes. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Juan Corrida dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Corrida clinches up against the cage. Corrida dictating the pace here, as the fighters clinch against the cage. Corrida has hold of one of Silva's legs. Silva is fighting the takedown attempt but Corrida gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard. Silva is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Corrida defends well. Silva wants to sweep but no luck. Corrida chips away with some ground and pound. Corrida is working Silva over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes. Silva looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Corrida has picked Silva up and slammed him! Silva can't keep hold of the triangle and Corrida manages to pass to side control! Silva trying to remain calm as Corrida controls from the top position. Corrida working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Juan Corrida has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's one minute gone in the round. Corrida wants to lay and pray for a moment but Silva keeps working. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Silva takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Corrida cracks Silva with an elbow. That is naaassty. Silva takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Corrida landing a few strikes.
Silva is rocked! Corrida cracks Silva with a big right hand but Silva just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Silva trying to remain calm as Corrida controls from the top position. Corrida landing a few strikes. Silva is letting Corrida control him for a moment. Corrida in side control lands a decent elbow. Oh Silva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Corrida lands a strong strike to the head of Silva. That's dazed him! Corrida looking to finish here. Silva is waving his arms around trying to block but he's hurt badly - Corrida lands more strikes and the referee steps in to end the fight!
