0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Cosmo Politan! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, William Peck and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Marks throws a hook to the side of Politan's head but Politan sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Politan throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Politan scores with a shot to the body.
The fight stays on the outside here - Marks looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Marks has Politan up against the cage in a clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Marks. Marks is working for takedown but Politan is calmly controlling the position for now. Marks is working for takedown but Politan is calmly controlling the position for now. Politan prevents the takedown attempt.

Marks throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Politan works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Marks performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Marks is breathing heavily. Marks is looking for the mount but instead finds himself back in full guard. Marks tries to stand but Politan is controlling from the bottom.

Politan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Marks. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Marks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The ref stands the fighters back up. TJ Marks wasn't doing enough on the ground. The fighters circle momentarily. Politan darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Politan misses with a few strikes there.
Politan with a body punch. A glancing blow. Politan lands with a nice combination. Marks backs away looking to recover.

Politan throws a right hand that Marks ducks under and follows up with a left that Marks also avoids with ease. Cosmo Politan is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Politan sizes up Marks with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Politan ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent. Politan scores with a one two! Marks had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Politan throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Marks. Politan misses with a looping left. Politan rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Marks moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Marks shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Marks can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Politan is looking to escape. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Marks tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Cosmo Politan dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Marks throws a right and a left that Politan avoids nicely. Politan jabbing away but nothing is landing. Politan swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Politan lands a nice hook to Marks's body. Marks takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes. Marks looks to land a body kick but Politan moved away. A momentary lapse in concentration from Politan enables Marks to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Politan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Marks trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Politan is looking to sweep but instead, Marks has passed into half guard.
Marks is looking to stall here but Politan recovers full guard. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Marks drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Politan dives on top into guard. Marks is trying to control the position but Politan postures up. Politan trying to stand up but can't free himself from Marks's guard. Marks is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The ref stands the fighters back up because TJ Marks just wasn't active enough. Marks staying out of range there. Marks is looking to clinch but Politan is avoiding it.
Politan connects with a right hand. Marks shakes it off. Politan throws a lazy right hand but Marks sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Politan stuffs the takedown attempt from Marks. Marks gets slowly back to his feet. Marks swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Politan counters with a left and a right that stings Marks. A punch combination from Politan misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Politan moves out of range of the strikes. Politan misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Marks fails in his attempt to clinch. Marks steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Politan. Marks closes the distance but Politan moves to the side and Politan counters with a straight right hand. Good shot there by Politan. Marks drives through with a takedown into guard. Marks thows a big elbow that misses. Marks is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Politan has his hands on Marks's head, controlling the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Marks missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Marks trying to control but Politan is working from the bottom. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Marks stays in close to Politan's body and controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
TJ Marks dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!
Marks looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Politan! Marks avoids the attempt from Politan to control. Marks looking to control but Politan is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Politan lands with an overhand left. Marks throws a combination that misses enabling Politan to counter with a crisp jab. Politan misses with a body shot.

Politan uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Marks.
Marks drives through with a takedown into guard. Politan is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Marks's corner is telling him to maintain position. Marks trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Marks is looking to work some ground and pound but Politan has wrist control. Marks looking to control the position here, rather than advance. Marks looking to pass the guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
We're going to have a standup here because TJ Marks wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Marks throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Politan was covering up waiting for the punch and Marks finishes the takedown easily into guard. Marks pushing down on Politan's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Marks takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Politan is trying to maintain the position but Marks is very close to passing his half guard. Politan tries to roll over but Marks keeps him under control.
And that's the end of the fight! TJ Marks showed his dominance in that final round. I think Marks has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
