Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between King Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Morgan Leger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Morgan Leger!
The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Chad Campbell and Bruno Lombardi.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Leger swivels and escapes.
Leger slaps away a takedown attempt from Kong, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Kong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kong shoots in for a takedown but Leger shows good takedown defense.
Kong shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Leger as he avoids it easily.
Kong doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Kong shoots in looking for a takedown. Leger tries to sprawl out of it but Kong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Leger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Kong is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Leger's half guard.

Kong content to control rather than advance.
Kong is keen to just control but Leger is a slippery customer.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Leger is trying to stand.
Kong is looking to take a break and control but Leger is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of King Kong.
Kong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Leger but Leger pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Kong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leger pinned against the cage. Leger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Horrible takedown by Kong or perhaps it was just good defense by Leger which made him look bad.
Kong misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Kong shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Leger sprawls well. Leger wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kong gets slowly back to his feet.

Kong shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Leger pinned against the cage. Leger gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Kong ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Kong takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Kong closes this distance looking for a takedown but Leger circles away.
Leger throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kong shoots in for a takedown but Leger shows good takedown defense.

Kong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Leger but Leger pushes him off and we're back to square one.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Morgan Leger dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Kong shoots in for a takedown but Leger shows good takedown defense.

Kong scores with a takedown into Leger's guard.
Kong throws a strike but Leger rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Leger tries to stand but Kong is controlling from the bottom.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Kong looking for a guillotine here but Leger defends easily.
Leger is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Leger would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Kong throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Leger controls from within his opponent's guard.
Kong is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Leger trying to control the position from guard on top but Kong is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Morgan Leger hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Kong fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Leger avoids it really well and circles away.
Leger throws a lazy right hand but Kong sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kong shoots for a double leg takedown but Leger sprawls well. He's pushed Kong's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kong fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Kong shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Leger defends it nicely.
Leger throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Kong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Leger as he jumps to the side.
Kong fails with a takedown attempt from distance.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Leger stuffs the takedown attempt from Kong. Kong gets slowly back to his feet.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kong.
Nice cross by Leger.
Kong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Kong shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Kong is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Leger sees it coming and defends easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that King Kong will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!


Kong closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
Kong shoots in but Leger avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kong looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Leger is fending him off so far but Kong persists. Nope, Leger circles away and we're back to standing.

Kong feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Leger is looking to stand up but Kong isn't so interested in that idea.

Leger wants to stand up but Kong is controlling him.
Kong looking to sit in guard and control but Leger gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Kong trying to keep a closed guard but Leger is proving a slippery customer.

Kong is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Leger tries to stand but Kong is controlling from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kong working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Leger doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Leger manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Leger slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Leger wanted to stand there but Kong had control of the position.
Kong throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Leger sitting in guard here, content to control.
Kong not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Leger has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Kong is proving hard to escape from.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Morgan Leger wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kong shoots in looking for a takedown. Leger tries to sprawl out of it but Kong keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Leger manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for King Kong. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nice uppercut lands for Leger. That snapped Kong's head back.
Kong shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Leger as he jumps to the side.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kong closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Leger prevents Kong from moving into mount.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Morgan Leger.
I think Leger has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
