Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, John Bridge!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Eddie House!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Ian Loll and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bridge closes the distance and lands a one-two.


It looks like Eddie House has been cut.
A decent looking cross lands there for House.


It looks like John Bridge has been cut.
Bridge misses with a looping left.
A head kick misses from Bridge.
House throws a lazy head kick
and Bridge counters with a big head kick but House shrugs it off.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Bridge throws a left and a right that both miss
and House counters with a nice uppercut.

Bridge rushes House and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Bridge steps to the side to avoid the strikes from House.
House gets off balance looking for a body kick
and Bridge counters with a series of strikes. House will be more careful next time no doubt.
House looks to land a combination but Bridge avoids it well.

Bridge drives through with a takedown into guard.
Bridge throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Bridge has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

House misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
John Bridge is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Bridge shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Bridge throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
House looks to throw the jab but Bridge is out of range.
John Bridge is winning the standup battle so far.
House throws a hook to the side of Bridge's head but Bridge sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Bridge shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has House pinned against the cage. House gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Bridge throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

House jabbing away but nothing is landing.
House displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Bridge.
Eddie House is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bridge with a poor takedown
and House counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Bridge. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
House misses with a looping left.

House leaves Bridge with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Bridge is looking to clinch but House is avoiding it.

Bridge changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. House looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Bridge tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Bridge has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
House is not content to let Bridge control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Eddie House will probably get the nod - 10:9.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Bridge tries to clinch but House is having none of it.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Bridge throws a combination that misses
and House counters with a left to the body.
Bridge bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Bridge shoots in for a takedown but House shows good takedown defense.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for John Bridge. That's going to take a lot out of him.
House takes a head kick and shrugs it off.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to John Bridge.
Well Bridge has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
