Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jesus Gouveia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Raider (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ricky Raider will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jesus Gouveia! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
10 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ricky Raider! The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gouveia dodges the punch combination from Raider.
Raider looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Gouveia gets the takedown into side control. Gouveia moves into full mount! Gouveia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gouveia seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Raider for as long as he can get away with. Gouveia has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Gouveia prevents Raider from getting the reversal.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jesus Gouveia wasn't doing enough on the ground. Raider gets caught flat footed, as Gouveia shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Gouveia is pushing down on Raider's leg trying to pass to half guard. Raider is fighting to maintain full guard but Gouveia has managed to sneak the leg through. Well, if Gouveia is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Jesus Gouveia just wasn't active enough. Gouveia throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Raider tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Gouveia is in Raider's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Gouveia is pushing down on Raider's leg trying to pass to half guard. Raider is fighting to maintain full guard but Gouveia has managed to sneak the leg through. Gouveia passes to side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Gouveia advances to full mount. Gouveia controlling the pace for now. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
We're going to have a standup here because Jesus Gouveia wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Raider stuffs the takedown attempt from Gouveia. Gouveia gets slowly back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesus Gouveia dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Nice takedown defense from Raider. No joy for Gouveia on that attempt. Raider displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Gouveia. Gouveia shoots in looking for a takedown but Raider manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Gouveia's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Jesus Gouveia. That's going to take a lot out of him. Gouveia darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Gouveia controlling the pace. Jesus Gouveia overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Gouveia is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! Raider is breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Gouveia takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Gouveia's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

We're going to have a standup here because Jesus Gouveia wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Gouveia fails with a takedown attempt. Gouveia shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Raider manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Gouveia looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

Raider is fighting to maintain full guard but Gouveia has managed to sneak the leg through. Gouveia is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Raider has managed to free his arm - good work. Gouveia trying to control the pace. Gouveia passes to side control. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Gouveia advances to mount. Gouveia sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Gouveia looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead. Gouveia sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Jesus Gouveia dominated that second round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!
Gouveia throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Raider's waist but Raider gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Gouveia off to one side. Raider throws a hook to the side of Gouveia's head but Gouveia sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Gouveia shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Gouveia was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Gouveia looking to control and managing it successfully. Raider takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Raider did well to prevent Gouveia getting side control. And that's the end of the fight! Jesus Gouveia showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Gouveia, winning every round. Will the judges agree?
