Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Zhang Zu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Zhang Zu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Gunn!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Sam Margolis and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Danga de danga de dang - Gunn scores with a four punch combination!
Gunn avoids a kick to the body.

Gunn scores with a takedown into Zu's guard.
Gunn wants to pass the guard but Zu is keeping the position.

Zu is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Gunn is aware though and is defending well.
Gunn stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zu swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Zu really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Gunn throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Gunn has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Gunn pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Zu is keeping the position for now.

Zu is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Gunn tries to pull guard but Zu won't allow it.

Gunn has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Zu regains guard immediately.
Gunn slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.

Gunn is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Zu is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Gunn wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zu keeps working.

Gunn tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Zu wants to control but Gunn postures up.
Zu is trying to escape the position but Gunn is controlling the position.
Gunn wants to control but Zu is keeping him busy.
Zu stops Gunn from passing to mount.
Zu is not content to let Gunn control the position.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Gunn goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Zu has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Gunn but great work by Zu.
Gunn sneaks back into half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Gunn is not content to let Zu control the position.
The fighters are battling for position here. Gunn manages to regain full guard. Nice work.

Gunn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Zu doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Zu manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Gunn is trying to control the position but Zu postures up.

Gunn is looking for a triangle here but Zu uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Zu decides to stand up, so the ref orders Gunn to his feet.
Zu avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lee Gunn dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Gunn bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Gunn tries for a kimura but Zu is defending well.
Zu stops Gunn from passing to mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Zu wants to get back to his feet.
Gunn advances to mount.

Gunn working for a guillotine from mount but Zu is in no mood to give up.

Gunn trying to control but Zu is having none of it.

Gunn is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Zu has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Zu!
Zu is looking to stand up but Gunn won't let him.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Gunn looking for a guillotine here but Zu defends easily.
Zu wants to stand but Gunn is controlling his posture from full guard.

Gunn wants to control but Zu is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Gunn is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Zu controlling the position easily from mount.
Gunn bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Lee Gunn showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!


Zu throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Gunn fails to land the takedown.
Zhang Zu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gunn avoids a punch combination nicely.
Gunn blocks the body kick.
Zu lands a head kick. Gunn smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Zu.
Gunn avoids the head kick by Zu.
Zu misses with a wild body shot.
Gunn takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Zu feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Gunn's calf.
Zu slips under a jab.
Zu throws out a leg kick but Gunn moves out of range and Zu only half commits.

Zu takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Zu keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gunn throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Zu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A slapping leg kick lands for Zu.
Zu lands with a kick to the temple. Gunn shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
A jab from Gunn does it's job there.
Zu throws a head kick that misses.
Gunn chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Zu can pounce on him.
Zu lands with a thumping leg kick.
Zu misses with a combination
and Gunn counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Zu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Zu tries a head kick but it misses.
Zu pulls out of a head kick attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gunn takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Zu throws a front kick aimed at Gunn's knee but Gunn avoids it well.
Gunn lands with a hook. Zu tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.
Zu looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
Gunn misses with a straight right.
Zu tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zu moves out of range as Gunn strikes.
Zhang Zu seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Zu throws a solid leg kick but Gunn takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Zu.
Gunn avoids a kick to the body.
Zu attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Zu wants to land a leg kick but Gunn is out of range.
Zu pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zu wants to clinch but Gunn slips to the side
and Gunn counters with a stiff right hand.
Nice defenses there by Zu.
Zu steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Gunn.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Gunn avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Gunn tests Zu's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Gunn lands with a good body shot.
Zu throws a wild body kick that Gunn sees coming a mile off.
Lee Gunn is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Zu bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Zhang Zu is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Gunn looks to throw the jab but Zu is out of range.
Zu is looking to slow Gunn down with leg kicks.
Zu throws a head kick that misses.
An inside leg kick from Zu misses.
Zu tries to land a leg kick but Gunn saw it coming and moves away.
Some wild striking there from Zu.
Zu defending well as Gunn loads up on a big left hand.
Gunn moves out of range of the strikes.

Gunn is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Zu's half guard.

Gunn working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Zu's thigh. Zu counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Gunn seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Zu keeping moving, preventing Gunn from controlling successfully.
Gunn might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Zu kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

And that's the end of the fight!
Zhang Zu showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Gunn has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
