Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Syd Scarr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mendez Papillion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Papillion throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Scarr fakes the leg kick and cracks Papillion in the body.
Scarr throws a series of punches but Papillion moves out of range.

Scarr lands a nice looking kick to the body. Papillion takes a step back to recover.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Scarr is fighting to break Papillion's control of his arms but Papillion is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
