The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Radbod Blank and Aafke Stam.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson missing with a left hand there. Junakovic was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Junakovic misses with a jab, cross combination.
Junakovic throws a right and a left that both miss.

Jefferson has his foot on Junakovic's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Junakovic works his way back into a safe position though.
Jefferson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Junakovic defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Jefferson is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Junakovic throws a series of punches but Jefferson moves out of range.

Junakovic pushes Jefferson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jefferson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Jefferson has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.

Jefferson remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Junakovic has hold of Jefferson's hands but Jefferson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Jefferson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Junakovic wants to get back to his feet.

Junakovic is breathing heavily.

Jefferson is taking a breather. Junakovic says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Jefferson wants to pass to mount but Junakovic is defending the position.
Jefferson moves nicely into side control.
Jefferson has hold of Junakovic's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Junakovic tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Jefferson cranks the arm and Junakovic screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Junakovic, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
