The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Beefington closes the distance and clinches. Barbossa tries to break the clinch but Beefington is controlling the position. Beefington taking a breather. Beefington successfully pulls guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Barbossa manages to capitalize on a mistake by Beefington to take his back! A lull in the action here.
Beefington is trapped and Barbossa is scoring with shots to the head and body. Beefington wants to control his opponent's hands but Barbossa gets his hands free. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Beefington has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Barbossa throws a big right hand but he misses and hits the mat. Ouch. Beefington breaks Barbossa's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

Beefington tries to close the distance and clinch but Barbossa swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Barbossa misses with a head kick.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Barbossa walks away with a smile on his face. Beefington gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. Jake Barbossa dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

That was a close second round but I would say that Calder Beefington will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Barbossa tries to clinch and Beefington holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. A frustrated look appears on Barbossa's face as he tries to break the clinch. Barbossa wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

We're going to have a standup here because Calder Beefington wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Barbossa with a lazy takedown attempt and Beefington counters by clinching up. Barbossa takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Beefington escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
