The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Konstantin Menshow and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roman displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lopez.
Roman tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Lopez throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Roman tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lopez is in Roman's guard.
Roman wants to get back to his feet but Lopez is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Lopez slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Lopez is trying to get an arm triangle but Roman is defending well.
Roman knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lopez on the ground.
Roman is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Lopez is controlling him well.
Lopez tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lopez has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Lopez working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.
