Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Roman Terpak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Rorschach Kovacs!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Joseph Jones and Alyssa Summers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Terpak fails to land with a series of punches.
Terpak will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
A combination from Terpak does no damage.
Kovacs rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Terpak moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Kovacs throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
A nice combination there by Terpak.
Terpak misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Kovacs.

and Terpak counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Kovacs's guard now.
Terpak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kovacs swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Kovacs controls Terpak momentarily but Terpak frees himself.
Terpak works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Terpak slows the pace down in half guard.
Kovacs really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Terpak. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Terpak is trying to work for a kimura but Kovacs is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Terpak is trying to control the action in half guard but Kovacs is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Terpak passes to full mount!

Terpak looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.
Terpak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Kovacs is looking to escape.

Terpak is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Kovacs has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Terpak trying to control but Kovacs is having none of it.
Terpak controlling the position easily from mount.
Terpak wants to control the pace but Kovacs is squirming around nicely.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Terpak looking to control but Kovacs is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

Kovacs is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Terpak locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Kovacs is forced to tap!
