Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sthawy Sthowp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Terry Krom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sthowp kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Blind Guardian - Into the Storn. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Terry Krom!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Ren Mimura and Hirohito Nitta.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Krom swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Krom on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Krom fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.

Sthowp shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Krom is trying to defend but Sthowp finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Sthowp seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Krom does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Sthowp wants to pass to mount but Krom is defending the position.

Krom is defending against the submission attempts here by Sthowp.
Sthowp stops Krom from getting back to his feet.
Krom really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sthowp. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Sthowp wants to take a breather but Krom is having none of it.

Sthowp thows a huge punch but Krom dodges it nicely.

Sthowp wants to work for an arm triangle but Krom is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Krom tries to kick Sthowp off but Sthowp keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Krom is refusing to be controlled, as Sthowp sits in half guard.

Sthowp is looking to take a break and control but Krom is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Krom is trying to stand up here but Sthowp is controlling him well.
Sthowp looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Krom with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Sthowp seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Krom pushes Sthowp off looking to stand but Sthowp dives back in and keeps control.

Krom manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Krom missing with a left hand there. Sthowp was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Sthowp looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Krom is fending him off so far but Sthowp persists. Nope, Krom circles away and we're back to standing.
Krom takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.

Krom looks like he's trying to stand up.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sthowp working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Krom's thigh. Krom counters though and makes it back to full guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Krom has his feet on Sthowp's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Krom throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Terry Krom seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sthowp moves out of range as Krom strikes.
Krom throws the left hand but Sthowp avoids the punch easily.
Krom tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Sthowp was well out of range. Poor timing from Krom.
Nice takedown defense from Krom. No joy for Sthowp on that attempt.

Sthowp has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Krom is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.
Krom tries to lock up and control but Sthowp gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Sthowp has control of Krom's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Krom regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Krom is trying to get back to his feet but can't.

Sthowp goes for an armbar but Krom turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Krom.

Sthowp has his foot on Krom's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Krom works his way back into a safe position though.

Sthowp is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Krom is aware though and is defending well.
Krom must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Krom decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Sthowp throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Krom tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Sthowp is in Krom's guard.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Krom displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Sthowp.

Sthowp shoots in looking for a takedown but Krom manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Sthowp's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Krom jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Sthowp takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Krom fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Sthowp looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Terry Krom is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Krom uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Krom tries to bum rush Sthowp with a series of wild strikes but Sthowp uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Krom fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Sthowp manages to avoid it.

Sthowp clobbers Krom with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Terry Krom comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
