14 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Randy Lesnar! The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Alan Glass and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Arlovski slips a straight right by Lesnar. Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Arlovski!
It looks like Randy Lesnar has been cut. Lesnar throws a left and a right that both miss
and Arlovski counters with a lovely straight right hand! No joy there for Lesnar, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Arlovski. Arlovski throws a jab when Lesnar was well out of range. Arlovski tries to clinch up but Lesnar circles away and keeps his distance. Lesnar throws a shot from downtown. Arlovski moves away and avoids it. Arlovski throws a right hand that Lesnar ducks under and follows up with a left that Lesnar also avoids with ease. Arlovski throws a big shot that misses. Arlovski throws a left and a right that both miss

Arlovski drives through with a takedown into guard. Lesnar pulls Arlovski in to control the position. Arlovski stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lesnar swivels though and keeps the full guard. Arlovski throwing strikes but missing. Lesnar wants to stand up but Arlovski is controlling him. Arlovski postures up.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Randy Lesnar wasn't active enough on the ground. Arlovski falls off balance throwing a combination
and Lesnar counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Lesnar. Lesnar escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Vladimir Arlovski seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Arlovski throws a leg kick which misses Lesnar's front leg but catches the back leg as Lesnar tries to avoid it. Arlovski throws a jab when Lesnar was well out of range. Good shot there by Arlovski. A bone on bone clash there as Lesnar blocks the leg kick.

Lesnar throws a series of punches but Arlovski avoids them all with ease.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lesnar takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him. Arlovski wants to clinch but Lesnar slips to the side and Lesnar moves into the clinch. Lesnar is trying to break the clinch but Arlovski has him pressed against the cage. Lesnar swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Lesnar has had enough of the clinch but Arlovski keeps him there for the moment. A right hand to the body from Arlovski.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Arlovski takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. A head punch on the inside from Lesnar fails to land. Lesnar wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

A frustrated look appears on Lesnar's face as he tries to break the clinch. Arlovski leaning his opponent against the cage. Arlovski pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Arlovski throws out a leg kick but Lesnar moves out of range and Arlovski only half commits.

and Arlovski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lesnar won't be happy with that. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Arlovski working the head with strikes. Arlovski has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Lesnar avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Arlovski. Arlovski decides to take the fight back to the feet. Lesnar tries to clinch there but Arlovski circles away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lesnar fails with an attempt to clinch.

Lesnar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Arlovski wants to clinch up but Lesnar keeps it at a distance. Lesnar wants to clinch. Arlovski fails to land with a series of punches.
Lesnar throws a lazy head kick and Arlovski counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lesnar won't be happy with that. Lesnar tries to escape but Arlovski is in control. Lesnar tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Arlovski wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Arlovski throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Lesnar works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

Arlovski passes into half guard. Arlovski lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.

Arlovski throws a strike but Lesnar avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Arlovski trying to control the position from guard on top but Lesnar is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Arlovski accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Arlovski throwing strikes from guard but Lesnar blocks nicely. Arlovski postures up in Lesnar's guard and throws a big left but Lesnar blocks it. Arlovski chips away with some ground and pound. Lesnar preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Arlovski loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Arlovski throws a big right hand that misses. Lesnar pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Arlovski is keeping the position for now. Lesnar loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Lesnar wants to control from the top but Arlovski keeps moving. Lesnar wants to pass the guard but Arlovski is keeping the position. Arlovski wants to stand but Lesnar is controlling the position. That's one minute gone in the round. Lesnar has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. A nice combination there by Arlovski.
Lesnar stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Arlovski. Lesnar stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Lesnar wants it to stay on the feet. Lesnar throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Arlovski. Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Arlovski.
Lesnar takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Lesnar ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Arlovski fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Lesnar manages to avoid it. Arlovski keeps the fight on the outside. A swing and a miss from Lesnar. Arlovski lands with a nice body punch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A looping hook to the body misses from Arlovski. Lesnar does a little dance to reset his feet. A slow jab from Arlovski misses its intended target.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Arlovski throws a combination that misses and Lesnar counters with a single leg into guard. Arlovski didn't expect that. Lesnar trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Arlovski manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Lesnar is squirming around, avoiding Arlovski's attempts to control the action. Arlovski unloading with bombs! Arlovski in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.

That has opened up Randy Lesnar's cut even more. Arlovski postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Lesnar in real trouble here! The ref calls for Lesnar to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
