Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Noriaki Ueyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Noriaki Ueyama! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Joe Bell! The judges for this bout are Kenichi Hosakawa, Yukihiro Shimada and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ueyama tries to bum rush Bell with a series of wild strikes but Bell uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Ueyama throws a lazy right hand but Bell sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Bell leaves Ueyama with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Noriaki Ueyama seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ueyama throws a head kick but Bell moves out of range.
Bell keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Bell tries to close the distance and clinch but Ueyama swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Ueyama misses with a takedown attempt - Bell sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Bell getting the better of the striking in that exchange. That's two minutes gone in the round. Bell wants to sweep but Ueyama has passed to side control! Bell regains half guard. Bell avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Ueyama. Ueyama is controlling the pace.
Ueyama has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's three minutes gone in the round. The fighters are battling for position here. Bell manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Ueyama looking to pass the guard. Ueyama stays in close to Bell's body and controls the position. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ueyama drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bell dives on top into guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Ueyama bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Bell's guard. Ueyama stops Bell from standing up. Bell is working an open guard so Ueyama takes the opportunity to get back to his feet. Ueyama swinging wildly here.

The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky. Bell doesn't manage to clinch there - Ueyama circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ueyama is defended easily by Bell. Bell ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ueyama moves away. Ueyama is looking to clinch. Bell moves into the clinch successfully.

That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Ueyama jumps guard but Bell stands there with Ueyama around his waist. Ueyama gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Ueyama postures up in Bell's guard and throws a big left but Bell blocks it. Bell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Ueyama trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Joe Bell will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Noriaki Ueyama's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

That sent Ueyama stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly. Bell throws a body kick that digs right into the meat. Bell throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Bell connects with a single shot there. Ueyama takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor. Ueyama looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Bell is fending him off so far but Ueyama persists. Nope, Bell circles away and we're back to standing. A head kick by Ueyama misses and Bell counters with a head kick. That will keep Ueyama thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Noriaki Ueyama is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Ueyama will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Bell lands a head kick. Ueyama smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

Bell lands with an uppercut that bounces Ueyama off the cage and back into rage. Ueyama shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Ueyama was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Ueyama controlling from the full mount. Bell is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Ueyama tries to control but Bell wriggling away. Bell is looking to get to half guard. Ueyama controlling the position easily from mount.
That's six minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Bell is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

That's seven minutes gone in the round. Ueyama can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Bell is looking to escape. Ueyama is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Bell is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him. Ueyama with a couple of short strikes. Bell can't escape the position.

That's nine minutes gone in the round. Ueyama stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. Ueyama scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Nice sprawl there from Bell as Ueyama shoots in. Ueyama throws a sloppy head kick and Bell counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Bell goes for a high kick. It partially lands. Ueyama throws a nice looking combination but Bell bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Ueyama shoots for a double leg takedown but Bell sprawls well. He's pushed Ueyama's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
And that's the end of the fight! Joe Bell comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Bell has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
