Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kyuzo Shichinin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Karl Veneracion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Veneracion's choice of entrance music: faint. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shigeki Fujiwara.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Veneracion changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Shichinin looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Shichinin gets back to half guard.
Veneracion is trying a forearm choke
I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Shichinin is looking for a sweep. Veneracion is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Veneracion is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Shichinin is trying to get back to full guard.
Veneracion seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Veneracion has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Shichinin tries to hold on but Veneracion pushes him away.
Veneracion working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Shichinin turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Veneracion off and cradles Shichinin's limp body as Veneracion celebrates with his corner.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:01 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Karl Veneracion!
