Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ray Cappo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Riccardo Aldo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ray Cappo! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Riccardo Aldo! The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Sergei Dronov and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A nice inside leg kick there by Aldo. That's going to slow Cappo down. Aldo buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Cappo checks a leg kick. Nice body kick from Aldo. Aldo feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Cappo's calf. Cappo is trying hard to land a takedown here. Aldo sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Cappo moves out of range as Aldo throws a body kick.
Cappo moves out of range of the body kick. Aldo explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work. Aldo throws a leg kick but Cappo sees it coming and checks it nicely. Cappo checks a leg kick nicely. Cappo really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. A bone on bone clash there as Cappo blocks the leg kick.
Cappo moves out of range of the leg kick from Aldo. Aldo throws a head kick but Cappo moves out of range.
Cappo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Aldo's half guard. Aldo is looking for a sweep. Cappo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Aldo trying to control but Cappo postures up.
Aldo wants to get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cappo is controlling the pace.
Cappo trying to mount his opponent but Aldo defends it. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Cappo in particular looking to stall.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Cappo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aldo is trying to defend but Cappo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Cappo looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cappo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt. Aldo tries to get to full guard but Cappo has control of the leg. Cappo slows the pace down in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo looks like he's trying to stand up.
Cappo not doing much here.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
We're going to have a standup here because Ray Cappo wasn't active enough for the referee's liking. Cappo throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Aldo tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Cappo is in Aldo's guard. Cappo trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Cappo drops back looking for a leg! Aldo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Aldo manages to kick Cappo off! Cappo jumps back into Aldo's guard. Aldo being controlled here, momentarily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cappo lands a couple of digs. Cappo sitting in guard, not really doing much. Aldo keeping moving, preventing Cappo from controlling successfully. Cappo drops back looking for a leg! Aldo is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Aldo manages to kick Cappo off! Cappo jumps back into Aldo's guard. Cappo is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Cappo dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Cappo dives in and grabs Aldo's left leg, looking for a takedown. Aldo pushes down on Cappo's head and hops out. A head kick misses from Cappo. Ouch! a nice leg kick from Aldo, right into the meat.
An inside leg kick lands from Aldo. Aldo tries a head kick but it misses.
Aldo misses with a body kick. Aldo tries to sprawl but Cappo drives through with a takedown into half guard. Cappo is figuring out what he wants to do next. Cappo wants to pass the guard but Aldo is defending well. Cappo is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Aldo is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Aldo wants to get back to his feet.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Ray Cappo wasn't doing enough on the ground. Cappo throws out a loose jab but Aldo uses good head movement to avoid it. Ray Cappo is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Aldo thumps Cappo with a low kick. Aldo is looking to slow Cappo down with leg kicks. Aldo throws a sloppy head kick and Cappo moves out of range easily. Cappo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Aldo tries to avoid it but Cappo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Aldo to the ground. Aldo escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Cappo avoids the head kick by Aldo.
Cappo closes the distance and clinches up with Aldo, looking for a takedown. Cappo pushes Aldo against the cage but Aldo circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ray Cappo. That's going to take a lot out of him. Horrible takedown by Cappo or perhaps it was just good defense by Aldo which made him look bad. Cappo drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Aldo parries the strikes from Cappo easily there. Cappo is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Aldo to escape.
Aldo wants to control but Cappo postures up. Aldo is breathing heavily. Cappo working the ground and pound from side control. Cappo is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Aldo is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Aldo is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Cappo is controlling him well. Cappo taking a breather here. Cappo stands up. Aldo throws a leg kick but Cappo checks it. Cappo shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Aldo defends it nicely. Aldo tries a low kick but Cappo avoids it. Aldo tries to sprawl but Cappo drives through with a takedown into half guard. Well, if Cappo is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cappo is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Aldo sees it coming and defends easily. Aldo is trying to maintain the position but Cappo is very close to passing his half guard. Cappo is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Aldo defends it well. Cappo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Aldo defending well though. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ray Cappo dominated that second round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Cappo forces Aldo back against the cage and clinches. Aldo gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Cappo.

Cappo pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Aldo lets loose with a powerful body kick. Cappo will feel that in the morning. Cappo shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Aldo is trying to defend but Cappo finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Aldo is trying to maintain the position but Cappo is very close to passing his half guard. Ray Cappo overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cappo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Aldo is just riding it out for now. Cappo eventually gives up the hold. Cappo misses with a head shot. Aldo uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cappo slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Cappo tries to free his leg and advance position but Aldo is retaining full guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Aldo wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Cappo manages to pass to side control. Cappo landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Cappo takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. Cappo working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Cappo has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Aldo takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Cappo takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cappo is trying to take his opponent's back.
Cappo lands a big elbow. Cappo looking to control but Aldo is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Riccardo Aldo has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Cappo lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Aldo is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Cappo tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Cappo is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Aldo can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Cappo content just to control the position here. Cappo looking for a guillotine from mount but Aldo is having none of it.
And that's the end of the fight! Ray Cappo showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Cappo, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
