Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Sean McMorrow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kingo Kongo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sean McMorrow!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kingo Kongo!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Leandro Rodrigues and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

It looks like Kingo Kongo has been cut.
McMorrow throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kongo's waist but Kongo gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing McMorrow off to one side.
McMorrow connects with a nice looking jab.
McMorrow misses the shot to the body.
Kongo needs to keep his hands up - McMorrow had a free shot at his head there.

and Kongo counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

McMorrow has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

McMorrow wants to control from the top but Kongo keeps moving.
McMorrow might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Kongo is pulling down on McMorrow's head. It's preventing any offense from McMorrow, at least for the moment.
McMorrow postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kongo wants to stand and escape but McMorrow is having none of it.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Kongo takes one to the chin there.
Kongo throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
McMorrow lands with a cross.
McMorrow misses with a left hand
and Kongo counters with a nice leg kick.
McMorrow scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Kongo throws a leg kick
and McMorrow counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
McMorrow avoids the head kick by Kongo.
McMorrow swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Kongo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McMorrow.
McMorrow fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Kongo.
McMorrow slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.
McMorrow works the jab nicely.


That has opened up Kingo Kongo's cut even more.
McMorrow lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.

McMorrow checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Sean McMorrow seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McMorrow connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Kongo throws an off balance right hand
and McMorrow counters with a stiff right hand.


Kongo is rocked!


The cut above Kingo Kongo's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
McMorrow throws a shot from downtown. Kongo moves away and avoids it.
McMorrow misses with a two punch combination.
McMorrow thumps Kongo with a low kick.
Kongo is breathing heavily.
Kongo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
McMorrow throws out a leg kick but Kongo moves out of range and McMorrow only half commits.
Kongo connects with an inside leg kick.
McMorrow shoots in but Kongo avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Kongo throws a head kick that misses
and McMorrow counters with a good low kick that Kongo was not able to check.
McMorrow goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
McMorrow swings and misses with a hook to the body.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

and McMorrow counters with a low kick, right behind Kongo 's knee.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
A jab from McMorrow finds it's way through Kongo's defenses.
Kongo is still on wobbly legs! Can McMorrow finish him?

and McMorrow shoots in for a double leg counter - driving through into a slam and Kongo is out! The slam has knocked him out cold! Devastating for Kongo but McMorrow is celebrating as the crowd goes wild!
