Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Brute (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mike Mentzer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mentzer has a niggling injury. He would have liked to come in 100% fit but that's not always possible. Mike Mentzer is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Bubba Brute! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Mike Mentzer! The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yuuki Gou and Yukihiro Yamamoto.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Brute fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mentzer, pushing him back against the cage. Mentzer looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight! Brute fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Brute breaks the clinch.
Brute blocks a jab. Mentzer throws a right and a left that both miss. Mentzer misses with a two punch combination.
Nice sprawl there from Mentzer as Brute shoots in. Mentzer throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Brute shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Mentzer sprawls well. Mentzer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Brute gets slowly back to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bubba Brute. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brute clinches up with Mentzer and pushes him back against the cage. Brute goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mentzer prevents it.
Brute breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. Brute closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Brute tries to stand but Mentzer is controlling his head. Brute trying to control the action but Mentzer is working from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brute tries for a kimura but Mentzer is defending well. Brute wants to control but Mentzer is keeping him busy. Brute tries to advance to mount but Mentzer instead regains half guard. Brute is figuring out what he wants to do next.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Brute wants to free his trapped foot but Mentzer is holding on for dear life with his legs. Brute is trying to work for a kimura but Mentzer is defending well.
Brute wants to control but Mentzer is keeping him busy. Brute is really struggling to control Mentzer but he's trying to hold on to the position. Brute missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Brute prevents Mentzer from improving his position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brute seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.
Brute is trying to control. Mentzer wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bubba Brute wasn't doing enough on the ground. Horrible takedown by Brute or perhaps it was just good defense by Mentzer which made him look bad. Brute throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Brute throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. A swing and a miss from Mentzer. Brute shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Mentzer but Mentzer pushes him off and we're back to square one. Mentzer throws a big shot that misses. Brute closes the distance and clinches. Brute can't get the takedown.
Brute pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. The fighters circling - Mentzer throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Mentzer slaps away a takedown attempt from Brute, before circling back to the center of the mat. Brute instigates a clinch. Brute manages to break the clinch.
Brute misses with a head kick.
Brute shoots in but no luck this time. Mentzer throws a right and a left that Brute avoids nicely. Brute has taken the fight to the clinch.
Brute tries to pull guard but Mentzer won't allow it.
Brute escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brute fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mentzer avoids it really well and circles away. Mentzer throws a wild combination but nothing lands. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Bubba Brute dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Brute gets in close and instigates a clinch. Mentzer escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Brute tries a head kick but it misses.
Brute shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mentzer as he jumps to the side. Brute fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Mentzer checks it well. Brute shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Mentzer as he avoids it easily. Brute moves into the clinch successfully.
Brute fails to pull guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Bubba Brute. That's going to take a lot out of him. Brute has Mentzer pressed against the cage, preventing Mentzer from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Mentzer looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Brute is struggling to control the position. Brute lands a body shot. Brute drops down looking for an ankle pick but Mentzer pulls his leg out and moves away.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Decent striking displayed by Brute there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Mentzer slaps away a takedown attempt from Brute, before circling back to the center of the mat. Brute fails to land the takedown. Mentzer misses with a few strikes there.
A lazy left from Brute finds it's target. Brute shoots in for a takedown but Mentzer shows good takedown defense. Brute showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Mentzer.
Brute shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Mentzer as he jumps to the side. Mentzer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brute. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Brute. Mentzer throws a nice looking combination but Brute bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Brute dodges the punch combination from Mentzer.
Brute misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Brute is trying hard to land a takedown here. Mentzer sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Mentzer avoids the head kick by Brute.
Mike Mentzer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Brute throws a sloppy head kick and Mentzer moves out of range easily. Mentzer misses with the combination.
Brute forces Mentzer back against the cage and clinches. Mentzer wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Brute has him pressed against the cage. Brute has Mentzer pushed against the cage. Mentzer prevents the takedown attempt.
Mentzer tries to circle away but Brute has him pinned against the cage. Brute ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brute no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brute trying to keep a closed guard but Mentzer is proving a slippery customer.
Mentzer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Brute wants to sweep but no luck. Mentzer won't allow Brute to get back to his feet. Brute is looking for a triangle here but Mentzer uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Mentzer decides to stand up, so the ref orders Brute to his feet. Mentzer slaps away a takedown attempt from Brute, before circling back to the center of the mat. Mike Mentzer is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Brute has a takedown stuffed. Mentzer misses with a jab, cross combination.
Brute moves in looking to clinch but Mentzer pushes him off. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Mike Mentzer will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!
Brute misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Brute closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Brute prevents Mentzer from breaking the clinch. Brute tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mentzer smiles and moves away.

Brute darts in and clinches Mentzer up against the cage. Mentzer takes a knee to the side of the body. Brute tries to pull guard but Mentzer won't allow it.

Both fighters are breathing heavily. Brute fails with a takedown attempt.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brute scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction. Brute looks for a takedown but Mentzer sprawls well. Mentzer throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Brute holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Brute successfully pulls guard.
Brute is trying to keep Mentzer in close.
Mentzer showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Brute looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Mentzer trying to stand up but can't free himself from Brute's guard. Mentzer won't allow Brute to get back to his feet. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Brute moves into the clinch.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brute keeps control of Mentzer as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks. Brute tries to pull guard but Mentzer won't allow it.
Brute tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Mentzer avoids it. Brute goes for a takedown in the clinch but Mentzer prevents it.
Brute has clasped his hands together around Mentzer's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done. Mentzer explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Mentzer misses with a straight left. Brute misses with a few strikes there.

and Brute counters by clinching up. Mentzer is trying to force a seperation but Brute has the dominant position. Brute works on Mentzer's body with a couple of short punches. Brute is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Mentzer is defending well for now. Mentzer is looking to break free of the clinch but Brute has double underhooks. Brute tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Mentzer smiles and moves away.

Brute tries for a takedown but Mentzer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mentzer stuffs the takedown. Brute shoots in for a takedown but Mentzer shows good takedown defense. Brute slips a jab and a cross from Mentzer.
Mentzer fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Brute tries for a takedown but Mentzer sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily. Mentzer throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Brute. Brute has a takedown stuffed. Brute throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Mentzer's waist but Mentzer gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Brute off to one side.
And that's the end of the fight! Bubba Brute showed his dominance in that final round. I think Brute has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
