Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eric Correa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and destiny hurd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Eric Correa! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, destiny hurd! The judges for this bout are William Peck, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! hurd shoots for a takedown but Correa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Excellent takedown into side control there by Correa. Correa working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Correa is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, hurd has escaped the position, nice work there. Correa is trying to get an arm triangle but hurd is defending well. Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! hurd manages to work his way to half guard, despite Correa's best efforts. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. hurd gets full guard. Correa drops back looking for a leg! hurd is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and hurd manages to kick Correa off! Correa jumps back into hurd's guard. hurd working for a triangle but Correa defends it easily.
Correa drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Correa jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Correa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. hurd looking for a guillotine here but Correa defends easily.

Correa drops back looking for a leg! hurd is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and hurd manages to kick Correa off! Correa jumps back into hurd's guard. Correa works a leg free and moves into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. hurd actively working from the bottom here. Correa seems to be working for a kimura but hurd defends the submission attempt. hurd moves into full guard.

Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. hurd bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Correa's guard. Correa looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
hurd passes easily into side control. Nice work. Correa regains half guard. hurd seems to be working for a kimura but Correa defends the submission attempt.
That's three minutes gone in the round. hurd is keen to just control but Correa is a slippery customer. Correa is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. Correa has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for hurd. Oh but Correa has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! hurd goes limp - he's gone! Correa jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
