Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Alex Ortiz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and clark McCahon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, clark McCahon!
The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Edson Gomes and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCahon tries to clinch but Ortiz moves out of range.
McCahon fails to land with a series of punches.
Ortiz keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Ortiz shoots for a double leg takedown but McCahon sprawls well. He's pushed Ortiz's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ortiz gets the takedown into side control.
McCahon is looking to regain half guard here but Ortiz keeps moving and retains side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ortiz tries for a kimura but McCahon is defending well.
McCahon tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ortiz wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

McCahon is trying to control Ortiz's posture but Ortiz avoids it.

Ortiz is breathing heavily.
McCahon is trying to buck Ortiz off.
Ortiz is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt McCahon will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
McCahon manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ortiz's best efforts.

Ortiz wants to work for an arm triangle but McCahon is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McCahon looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ortiz with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ortiz has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can McCahon defend it? Ortiz steps over the head and cranks it - McCahon is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Ortiz!
