Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas LaVey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gattsu Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). LaVey comes to the cage accompanied by Deicide - Scars of the Crucifix. The crowd seem to be enjoying Emelianenko's choice of entrance music: Welcome to the Machine. Both fighters really staring eachother down here, as Gattsu Emelianenko enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Lucas LaVey!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gattsu Emelianenko!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Gwen Towbar and Robert Twigg.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Emelianenko shoots in looking for a takedown but LaVey manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Emelianenko's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
LaVey throws a nice inside leg kick.
Gattsu Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emelianenko throws a combination but it was largely blocked by LaVey.
LaVey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Emelianenko walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Emelianenko misses with a takedown attempt - LaVey sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Emelianenko fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. LaVey looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

I looks like Emelianenko might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
LaVey wants to improve his position but Emelianenko is controlling well.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
LaVey is staying active underneath Emelianenko, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Emelianenko stuns LaVey with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from LaVey lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Emelianenko has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Emelianenko and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Some bone on bone action there as Emelianenko checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
LaVey will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Emelianenko tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but LaVey was well out of range. Poor timing from Emelianenko.
LaVey circles away from the clinch attempt.
Emelianenko moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Emelianenko throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Lucas LaVey dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

LaVey drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Emelianenko is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked LaVey off and has taken his back!

LaVey breaks Emelianenko's hooks off and manages to turn into his guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gattsu Emelianenko wasn't active enough on the ground.

LaVey throws a solid leg kick but Emelianenko takes the impact on his shin and smiles at LaVey.
Emelianenko throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Emelianenko wants to clinch
and LaVey counters with a nice low kick that buckles Emelianenko's knee momentarily.
Emelianenko thows a left - swing and a miss!
Emelianenko misses with a double jab.
LaVey looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it.
LaVey misses with a shot to the body
and Emelianenko counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Lucas LaVey is winning the standup battle so far.

LaVey lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts LaVey, as that shot connected.
LaVey takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Emelianenko tries to clinch but LaVey moves out of range.

and LaVey counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Emelianenko is lucky that one didn't land flush.

A looping hook to the body misses from Emelianenko. LaVey does a little dance to reset his feet.
LaVey fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Emelianenko is out of range.

The fighters circling - Emelianenko throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

and LaVey counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
LaVey throws a sloppy head kick and Emelianenko moves out of range easily.

LaVey has taken the fight to the clinch.

LaVey's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
An inside leg kick lands from LaVey.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Emelianenko scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. LaVey obliges.

It looks like Gattsu Emelianenko has been cut.

LaVey manages to break the clinch.
LaVey takes a swing at Emelianenko's ribcage but misses.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for LaVey, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
