Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jay Young (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gray Potter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Young's entrance music is Rod Stewart - Forever Young. A fine choice. Potter has chosen Biggie Smalls - Victory as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Young loads up on a big right hand but Potter slips the punch.
Nice combo by Young! Oh, that's hurt him - Potter falls to the canvas and Young follows him into side control.
It looks like Gray Potter has been cut.
Potter is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Young is looking to take a break and control but Potter is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Potter is looking to reverse the position.
Potter manages to work his way to half guard, despite Young's best efforts.
Still in half guard, Young seems content to control.
Young wants to pass to mount but Potter is defending the position.
Young looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
This has been an exciting period of action!

The ref stands the fighters back up. Jay Young wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Potter moves out of range of the strikes.
Young misses with an uppercut.
Potter lands the left hand.
Young misses with a hook. Potter ducked under it nicely.
Potter dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Potter throws a right and a left that Young avoids nicely.
Young misses with a combination
and Potter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Young falls off balance throwing a combination
and Potter counters with a nice double leg into side control. Young won't be happy with that.

Potter throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Young dodges the ground and pound from Potter.
Potter lands a decent elbow from side control.
The ground and pound from Potter seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
Young looking for a sweep but Potter has passed into full mount! Oh no!
Young tries to buck Potter off but he can't manage it.
Potter connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Young is in all sorts of trouble here.

Potter has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Young's face.
The referee warns Young that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Potter prevents Young from getting the reversal.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Potter cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Young takes a big shot to the dome and his eyes have rolled back in his head! Potter's killer instinct has kicked in as he finishes the fight with more strikes. Impressive finish.
