Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Eric Erdman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brett Devorsetz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brett Devorsetz will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eric Erdman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brett Devorsetz!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, George Francis and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Devorsetz stuffs the takedown attempt from Erdman. Erdman gets slowly back to his feet.
Erdman looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Devorsetz tries for a takedown but Erdman sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Devorsetz fails with an attempt to clinch.

and Devorsetz counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Devorsetz thows a big elbow that misses.

Devorsetz drops back looking for a leg! Erdman is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Erdman manages to kick Devorsetz off! Devorsetz jumps back into Erdman's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Devorsetz trying to control the position from guard on top but Erdman is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Devorsetz has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Erdman is proving hard to escape from.

Devorsetz is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Brett Devorsetz was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Devorsetz throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Erdman was covering up waiting for the punch and Devorsetz finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Devorsetz would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.

Devorsetz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Devorsetz gets to his feet - Erdman follows without any prompting.
Devorsetz doesn't manage to clinch there - Erdman circles away.
Devorsetz shoots in and drives through. Erdman sprawls well.
Erdman keeps the fight on the outside.

Devorsetz forces Erdman back against the cage and clinches.
Devorsetz lands a body shot in the clinch.

Devorsetz has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Erdman clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Devorsetz gets his hands free as Erdman looks to control.

Erdman defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Devorsetz's arms.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Erdman trying to control the hands but Devorsetz won't let him.
Erdman is trying to break free.
Devorsetz just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Devorsetz is not going to allow Erdman to sit and survive in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Devorsetz wants to clinch up but Erdman keeps it at a distance.

so Devorsetz counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Erdman tries to improve position but can't.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Devorsetz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Erdman keeps working.

Erdman tries to contro but end up mounted... ooooh, that's bad.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Devorsetz looking for a guillotine from mount but Erdman is having none of it.
Devorsetz prevents Erdman from getting the reversal.
Erdman wants to control but Devorsetz is having none of it.
Devorsetz can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Erdman is looking to escape.
Devorsetz takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Erdman holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Devorsetz tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Brett Devorsetz has got the better of the ground game so far.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Devorsetz looking to control but Erdman is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Devorsetz is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Devorsetz unloads with some shots from mount but Erdman bucks and avoids them well.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Erdman keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Brett Devorsetz showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Devorsetz tries to bum rush Erdman with a series of wild strikes but Erdman uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Erdman wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Erdman trying to control the position but Devorsetz manages to sink in the hooks.
Erdman looking to stop the rear naked choke attempt by controlling the hands.
Devorsetz slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Devorsetz throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Erdman!
Devorsetz looking to hold on to the position here but Erdman rolls and ends up regaining guard.

Erdman is pulling down on Devorsetz's head. It's preventing any offense from Devorsetz, at least for the moment.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Devorsetz shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

Erdman not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Devorsetz trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Erdman looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Erdman is trying to keep Devorsetz in close.

Erdman has his foot on Devorsetz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Devorsetz works his way back into a safe position though.
Erdman pulls Devorsetz in close to his closed guard and prevents Devorsetz from doing any damage or advancing position.

Devorsetz gets to his feet. Erdman looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Brett Devorsetz comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Devorsetz winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
