The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sengir shoots in looking for a takedown. Madoka tries to sprawl out of it but Sengir keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Madoka manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Sengir wants to clinch.
Sengir tries to close the distance and clinch up but Madoka swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Sengir throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Madoka fails with the takedown

and Sengir counters with a takedown into full mount! That could mean trouble for Madoka!
Madoka tries to hold on but Sengir pushes him away.
Madoka is trying to escape the mount.
Sengir tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Madoka is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Madoka is wriggling around trying to escape.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Sengir avoids the attempt from Madoka to control.
Madoka keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Madoka avoids a series of strikes thrown by Sengir.
Madoka bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Madoka wants to control from the top but Sengir keeps moving.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Sengir utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Madoka wants to stand and escape but instead Sengir has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.
Madoka should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Madoka quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Sengir has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Madoka celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
