The judges for this bout are John Roberts, Reed Andrews and Columbo Gatti.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Booker throws a head kick that misses.
Booker moves into the clinch successfully.
Booker breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Booker. Steele shrugs it off though.
Booker looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Booker blocks a leg kick.
Booker lands with a kick to the temple. Steele shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"
Steele takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Booker throws a body punch but Steele moves out of range.

Steele drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Steele looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Booker pushes Steele away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Steele gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.
Steele tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Booker is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Steele is controlling him well.
Steele moves into full mount!
Steele tries to control but Booker wriggling away.

Poor strikes thrown by Steele there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Steele looking for a guillotine from mount but Booker is having none of it.

Steele wants to finish this one by submission but Booker is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Steele.
Booker wants to try and get back to his feet.

Steele frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Steele has hold of Booker's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Booker manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
Steele won't let Booker get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Steele wants to control the pace but Booker is squirming around nicely.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Booker knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steele on the ground.

Steele loads up with a big shot that hurts Booker! He's pulled Steele in close but Steele has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Booker survive? More strikes from Steele and Booker is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
