The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Steve Erwin and Bruno Hogan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nitschke misses with an uppercut. Amancic saw that one coming.
Nitschke stuffs the takedown attempt from Amancic. Amancic gets slowly back to his feet.
Nitschke missing with a left hand there. Amancic was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Amancic drives through and clinches with Nitschke against the cage.
Amancic breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Amancic shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nitschke sprawls well. Nitschke wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Amancic gets slowly back to his feet.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

and Amancic counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
A combination from Nitschke does no damage.
Amancic looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Nitschke is fending him off so far but Amancic persists. Nope, Nitschke circles away and we're back to standing.
Amancic wants to clinch.
Nitschke tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Amancic was well out of range. Poor timing from Nitschke.
Amancic shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Amancic was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Nitschke is in all sorts of trouble here.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Amancic tries to pass the half guard into mount. Nitschke knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Nitschke tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Amancic counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.

Amancic shoots for a double leg takedown but Nitschke sprawls well. He's pushed Amancic's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Nitschke avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

Nitschke shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Amancic's guard.

Nitschke might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Amancic kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Nitschke tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nitschke has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Nitschke has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Nitschke thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
