Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jimbo Malac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eduardo China (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jimbo Malac! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo China! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Luis Engracia and Seu Braga.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! China tries to clinch there but Malac circles away.
Malac gets a takedown into half guard. Malac is looking to take a break and control but China is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. China wants to get back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. China is refusing to be controlled, as Malac sits in half guard. Malac stands up from half guard. Oh, that's a big right hand from China and Malac goes tumbling to the canvas! China follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.

It looks like Jimbo Malac has been cut. Malac looking for submissions off his back. China wants to stand up but Malac has a hold of him and won't allow it.

China tries to clinch but Malac moves away and Malac counters with a shoot takedown. China fights it but they end up in guard. China looks gassed! China is looking to stand back up but Malac counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by China. An elbow from Malac crashes against the mat.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here! Malac controlling the position from side mount. Malac tries to move to mount but China blocks the move with his legs. China wants to get back to his feet but Malac drags him back down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Malac decides to stand up, so the ref orders China to his feet. Malac drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! China tries to escape but Malac is in control. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. China tries to clinch and Malac connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. China throws a lazy head kick and Malac counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Malac prevents China from getting back to his feet. Malac slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Malac trying to control the action but China is working from the bottom. Malac is really struggling to control China but he's trying to hold on to the position. Malac postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Malac is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt China will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. China dodges the ground and pound from Malac. Malac wants to control but China is keeping him busy. Malac looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.

He pushes Malac off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds. China closes the distance looking to clinch and Malac counters with a takedown into side control. This has been an exciting period of action! China explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there! Malac lands with a cross. China tries to close the distance and clinch up against the ropes but Malac paws at him with a jab and circles away. Malac clinches up against the ropes.
That's five minutes gone in the round. Malac prevents China from breaking the clinch. Malac is working for takedown but China is calmly controlling the position for now. China gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Malac.

China has one foot on Malac's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet. China rushes Malac and presses him up against the ropes. Both guys are working to get underhooks. Malac wants to break free but China has control.

Malac seems to have got his legs back now. China stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

China closes the distance looking to clinch and Malac counters with a takedown into side control. Malac wants to control but China is keeping him busy. China wants to get back to his feet. Malac wants to control but China is keeping him busy. Malac works to advance to full mount. China defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs. Malac moves to the back. China trying to get back to his feet but Malac is in full control for now.

It looks like it's working - Malac slides off, much to his dismay, and we're back to standing! China displaying calm under pressure there. China tries to clinch and Malac counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Malac could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. China tries to bum rush Malac with a series of wild strikes but Malac uses good footwork to avoid the assault. China looks to clinch and Malac counters with a head kick. That will keep China thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Malac clinches with his opponent.

It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while. Malac tries for a kimura. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Malac rushes China and pushes him back against the ropes in a clinch. China breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Malac working for a RNC but it's not happening just yet. China has the hand control, trying to stop the rear naked choke. China is looking to stand back up. He's having to work hard to escape but eventually he manages it. The fight stays on the outside here - China looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Malac shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. China is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.

China is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position. Malac tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Malac moves to the back position. Malac has both hooks in and is working for a choke. China is in real trouble here. Malac gets an arm under the chin and tightens the submission attempt... is this the end? Yes, China is tapping out!
