Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Erik Lehnsherr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Becker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lehnsherr comes into the arena with PURE EVIL! blaring out of the sound system. Becker has chosen Pudzian Band - Dawaj na ring as his entrance music. Erik Lehnsherr has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Erik Lehnsherr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 2 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Gary Becker! The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nice shot lands for Lehnsherr.
It looks like Gary Becker has been cut. Becker shoots in for a double leg but Lehnsherr sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Becker doesn't manage to clinch there - Lehnsherr circles away.
Becker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Lehnsherr napping and manages to drive through into side control! Becker is trying to get an arm triangle but Lehnsherr is defending well. The ground and pound from Becker seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Becker thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Lehnsherr takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sloppy strikes there by Becker. The strikes coming from Becker are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Lehnsherr wants to get back to his feet. Becker working the head and body with strikes. Becker sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Lehnsherr is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Lehnsherr knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Becker on the ground. Becker tries to move into full mount but can't pass Lehnsherr's legs. Becker throws an elbow but Lehnsherr slips to the side and avoids it well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Becker creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Lehnsherr sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Lehnsherr defending against the ground and pound. Becker throws a strike aimed at the side of Lehnsherr's head but Lehnsherr avoids it well. Becker working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter. Becker misses with the ground and pound. Lehnsherr managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Becker.
Becker has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Becker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lehnsherr keeps working. Becker working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Becker tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Becker is trying to get an arm triangle but Lehnsherr is defending well. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lehnsherr is trying to buck Becker off. Becker throwing strikes but missing, from side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Becker cracks Lehnsherr with an elbow. That is naaassty. Becker is trying to get an arm triangle but Lehnsherr is defending well. Lehnsherr defending against the ground and pound. Becker connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Lehnsherr some visible discomfort.
Lehnsherr is trying to control Becker's posture but Becker avoids it. Becker with the ground and pound but Lehnsherr regains half guard under the barage of strikes. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Lehnsherr trying to hold on to Becker's head to control him but Becker postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Gary Becker dominated that round. The cut man is working on Gary Becker's cut. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Becker tries to clinch but Lehnsherr moves out of range. Lehnsherr defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Becker. Becker shoots in but Lehnsherr avoids the takedown attempt easily. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Becker is looking to clinch. Lehnsherr throws a nice looking combination but Becker bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Becker avoids a punch combination nicely.
Lehnsherr moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Lehnsherr stuffs the takedown. Erik Lehnsherr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gary Becker. Lehnsherr misses with a double jab.
Gary Becker seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Becker slips a jab and a cross from Lehnsherr.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Becker fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lehnsherr misses with a wild combination.
Becker fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Lehnsherr avoids it really well and circles away. Some wild striking there from Lehnsherr.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lehnsherr tries to clinch up and Becker counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Becker drops back looking for a leg! Lehnsherr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lehnsherr manages to kick Becker off! Becker jumps back into Lehnsherr's guard. Lehnsherr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Lehnsherr utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Becker wants to control from the top but Lehnsherr keeps moving. Lehnsherr preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Lehnsherr keeping moving, preventing Becker from controlling successfully. Becker throwing strikes but missing. Becker prevents Lehnsherr from getting back to his feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Erik Lehnsherr will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Gary Becker's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!
Becker wants to clinch and Lehnsherr counters with a series of strikes. Becker will be more careful next time no doubt. Lehnsherr scores with a crisp jab that stopped Becker in his tracks. Lehnsherr lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Lehnsherr lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Becker circles away quickly and effectively. Becker looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Lehnsherr!
That's one minute gone in the round. Becker sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Lehnsherr wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Becker.
Becker thowing shots but they're missing. Lehnsherr holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Becker tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Becker thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage. Becker fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Becker punishing his opponent with strikes. The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Becker. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man. Becker with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Becker throws some wild stikes that Lehnsherr manages to avoid easily.
Lehnsherr is trying desperately to improve position. Becker goes for an armbar but Lehnsherr turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Lehnsherr. Becker is looking for a triangle but Lehnsherr pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Becker is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a tringle but Lehnsherr frees his head nicely. Oh but Becker has switched to an armbar! Lehnsherr is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
