Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Steffen Goetze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fernando Poor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Goetze might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Hellveto - Herezja. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Steffen Goetze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Fernando Poor!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Shirou Masuda and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Goetze defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Poor.
Goetze shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Poor's guard.
Goetze is looking to advance position but Poor has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Goetze avoids a series of strikes thrown by Poor.
Goetze wants to hold on but Poor pushes him away.
Poor throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Poor trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Poor breaks from Goetze's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Goetze throwing hammer fists to the chest of Poor. What's that going to do exactly?
Poor tries to control but Goetze wriggling away.

Poor wants to control the pace but Goetze is squirming around nicely.

Poor postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Goetze looks a forlorn figure.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Poor can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Goetze is looking to escape.
Goetze really wants to buck Poor off and get back to his feet.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Goetze wants to escape the position.

Poor somehow managing to miss with a strike from the back.
Goetze is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Poor gets his way!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

and Goetze counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Goetze.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Goetze lands a couple of digs.
Poor can't keep his opponent in guard - Goetze advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Goetze is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Poor is trying to control but can't.
Poor is breathing heavily.

Poor wants to improve his position but Goetze is controlling well.
Goetze stands up and beckons Poor to join him on the feet.

Goetze seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Goetze throws a solid leg kick but Poor takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Goetze.

Goetze closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Poor did well to prevent Goetze getting side control.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Goetze connects with a nice short shot to Poor's temple.

Goetze wants to free his trapped foot but Poor is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Goetze takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Goetze prevents Poor from improving his position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Poor is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Goetze scores with a couple of nice shots.
Goetze is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Goetze is nestled in close to Poor, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Goetze is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Poor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Goetze.
Goetze works his way into full mount!
Goetze tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Goetze thows a huge punch but Poor dodges it nicely.

Goetze shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Goetze closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Goetze lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage.
A left hand lands to the body for Goetze.
Goetze lands a hook to the body. It's hard to tell if that hurt Poor or not.
Poor takes a knee to the side of the body.
Goetze jumps into guard, dragging Poor to the mat.
Goetze is pulling down on Poor's head to control his posture.

Poor has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Goetze is proving hard to escape from.
Poor is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Goetze has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Poor is looking to defend but Goetze has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Poor! Goetze pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Poor taps out and this one is all over!
