Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, georges StPierres!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Blake Radcliffe!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Frank Dennis and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
StPierres tries to close the distance and clinch but Radcliffe swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
StPierres misses with a wild combination.
StPierres will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

StPierres closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Radcliffe is working for takedown but StPierres is calmly controlling the position for now.

StPierres pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Radcliffe avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

StPierres clinches with his opponent.

StPierres breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Radcliffe slips a jab and a cross from StPierres.
StPierres works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
georges StPierres seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
StPierres misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Radcliffe misses with a series of wild punches.
StPierres falls off balance throwing a combination

and Radcliffe counters with a shoot takedown. StPierres fights it but they end up in guard.
Radcliffe looking to control the position here, rather than advance.

StPierres is looking to stand back up but Radcliffe counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by StPierres.

Radcliffe prevents StPierres from standing back up.
StPierres trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
StPierres tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Radcliffe manages to move to mount!

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Radcliffe is working for a guillotine from mount but StPierres frees his head quite easily.
StPierres is trying to get back to his feet but can't.
StPierres is breathing heavily.

Radcliffe controlling the pace for now.
StPierres is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

I looks like Radcliffe might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Radcliffe's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
StPierres's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Blake Radcliffe dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Nice uppercut lands for Radcliffe. That snapped StPierres's head back.
StPierres looks to clinch
enabling Radcliffe to counter with a crisp jab.
StPierres falls off balance throwing a combination
and Radcliffe makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

StPierres closes the distance and clinches.

StPierres pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Radcliffe throws a series of strikes that have StPierres backpedaling.

Radcliffe scores with a takedown into StPierres's guard.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Radcliffe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. StPierres swivels though and keeps the full guard.

StPierres wants to stand up but Radcliffe is controlling him.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Blake Radcliffe has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
StPierres wants to clinch

so Radcliffe counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Radcliffe wants to control from the top but StPierres keeps moving.
Radcliffe is pushing down on StPierres's leg trying to pass to half guard. StPierres is fighting to maintain full guard but Radcliffe has managed to sneak the leg through.
Radcliffe is keen to just control but StPierres is a slippery customer.

Radcliffe lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
Radcliffe lands a nice shot to the head.
Radcliffe working away from the top, dropping strikes.
StPierres is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Radcliffe takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

StPierres tries to buck Radcliffe off but he can't manage it.

Radcliffe is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! StPierres is forced to tap! Great finish!
