Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Florian Mir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Meka Herron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Florian Mir could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Meka Herron's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Herron swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Mir tries for a takedown but Herron sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Herron turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Herron displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Mir.
A jab lands there for Herron.
Herron keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Florian Mir. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Herron sizes up Mir with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.
Herron uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Mir.

Herron fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mir avoids it really well and circles away.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Herron wants to sweep but no luck.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mir controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Mir is standing up over Herron. Herron looks to escape but Mir dives into side control.
Mir is looking to take a break and control but Herron is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mir content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Herron throws Mir to one side and escapes!
Mir fails with the takedown.
Herron throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Mir shoots in looking for a takedown but Herron manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Mir's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Meka Herron dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Mir has his takedown stuffed
and Herron counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Herron fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Mir, pushing him back against the cage.
Mir has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Herron avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Mir has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Herron is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

and Herron counters with a slapping leg kick.

Herron connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Florian Mir is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Herron fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Mir looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Herron wants to clinch up but Mir keeps it at a distance.

so Mir counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Meka Herron showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Herron manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.

Mir is trying to drag Herron to the mat but Herron just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Mir has Herron pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Herron manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Herron gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Mir.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Mir on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Meka Herron is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

and Herron counters with a stiff right hand.
Herron thumps Mir with a low kick.
Florian Mir has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Herron throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Sloppy strikes from Mir. Those never looked like landing.

Meka Herron comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Herron winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
