Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between George West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Raster Krunnter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, George West!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Raster Krunnter!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, James Glass and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for West, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Krunnter looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

West scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
West trying to control from half guard but Krunnter is working away.
Krunnter won't allow West to pass to mount.
West moves nicely into side control.
West trying to control the position but Krunnter is working away.
Krunnter takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head.
West wants to control but Krunnter is keeping him busy.

West decides to stand back up.
The fight stays on the outside here - West looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
West scores with a body shot.
Raster Krunnter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
West tries to close the distance and clinch up but Krunnter swats him away and circles back towards the center.
West tries to score a power double leg takedown but Krunnter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten West somewhat.
Krunnter slaps away a takedown attempt from West, before circling back to the center of the mat.
West is looking to clinch but Krunnter is avoiding it.
West tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Krunnter paws at him with a jab and circles away.
West throws a series of punches but Krunnter moves out of range.

Krunnter has his takedown stuffed

and West moves into the clinch.
West changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Krunnter fights it off and pushes away nicely.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George West. That's going to take a lot out of him.

West has taken the fight to the clinch.

West pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

West fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Krunnter sprawls well initially but West persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
West trying to mount his opponent but Krunnter defends it.
West wants to get back to his feet.
West takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
West moves nicely into side control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

West has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
West fails with a takedown attempt.

Krunnter shoots and misses
and West counters with a three punch combo that has Krunnter backing up. Krunnter nods at West to acknowledge the strikes.
Krunnter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Krunnter wants it to stay on the feet.

Krunnter fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. West sprawls well initially but Krunnter persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Krunnter wants to control but West is keeping him busy.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Krunnter wants to stand up but West has a hold of him and won't allow it.
West makes his way to full guard. A much better position for West.
West seems keen to control Krunnter's posture.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

West is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

George West dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


West shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Krunnter as he jumps to the side.

and West counters with a shoot takedown. Krunnter fights it but they end up in guard.
Krunnter is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
West postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Krunnter can't keep his opponent in guard - West advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
West performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
George West overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
West thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

West not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Krunnter tries to get to full guard but West has control of the leg.
West content to control rather than advance.
West is pressing down on Krunnter's thigh, looking to free his foot. Krunnter is holding on for now.
Krunnter trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Krunnter is squirming around, avoiding West's attempts to control the action.
West is really struggling to control Krunnter but he's trying to hold on to the position.
West tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

West connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
West raining down shots from the mount!
West looking to control and managing it successfully.

George West dominated that second round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Ooooh, nice body kick lands from West. Krunnter shrugs it off though.
West moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

West has closed the distance and engaged Krunnter in a clinch.

West pulls Krunnter into guard.
West not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Krunnter postures up in West's guard and throws a big left but West blocks it.
West keeping moving, preventing Krunnter from controlling successfully.
Krunnter won't allow West to sweep him here.
Krunnter takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

West doesn't do any damage with a couple of strikes from the bottom.

Krunnter throws and elbow that misses. West uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Krunnter's guard. Nice move by West!
West wants to control from the top but Krunnter keeps moving.
Krunnter utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Krunnter has a closed guard, preventing West from standing up.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells West's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
West with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
West wanted to stand there but Krunnter had control of the position.
Krunnter keeping moving, preventing West from controlling successfully.
West passes into half guard.
Krunnter is refusing to be controlled, as West sits in half guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Krunnter blocking the ground and pound attempt from West.
Krunnter taking some punishment here, with West in his half guard.
West performing his best blanket impression for a moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
West seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Krunnter for as long as he can get away with.

The ref stands the fighters back up because George West just wasn't active enough.

West shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Krunnter is trying to defend but West finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Krunnter is trying to defend against the ground and pound but West scores with a couple of nice shots.

And that's the end of the fight!
George West showed his dominance in that final round.
Well West has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
