The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from da Cruz.
da Cruz looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
da Cruz pushes Intic up against the cage in a clinch.
Intic is trying to trip da Cruz. He has hold of a leg but da Cruz is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Intic persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Intic is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Intic drops back looking for a leg! da Cruz is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and da Cruz manages to kick Intic off! Intic jumps back into da Cruz's guard.

Intic seems to be working for a kimura but da Cruz defends the submission attempt.

It looks like he might have it! da Cruz tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Intic cranks the arm and da Cruz screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from da Cruz, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
