Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Math Prush (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Russ Vanpelten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Vanpelten is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: For whom the bell tolls. Math Prush has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Math Prush!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Russ Vanpelten!
The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vanpelten moves out of range of the body kick.
Prush throws a head kick but Vanpelten moves out of range.
Prush lands with a nice combination. Vanpelten backs away looking to recover.
Prush showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Vanpelten.
Vanpelten tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Vanpelten gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Vanpelten pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Vanpelten manages to break the clinch.
Prush throws the kick towards the body but Vanpelten avoids it.
Vanpelten throws a lazy head kick
and Prush counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Prush dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Vanpelten tries to clinch but Prush moves out of range.
Vanpelten thows a left - swing and a miss!

Vanpelten throws a leg kick but Prush sees it coming and moves out of range.
Prush wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Vanpelten clinches but Prush breaks the clinch
and Prush counters with a good, hard body kick but Vanpelten shrugs it off.
Vanpelten looks gassed!
Prush connects with a looping right hand.
Math Prush seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Prush slaps away a takedown attempt from Vanpelten, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A thudding body kick lands there by Prush!
Prush misses with a few strikes there.
Prush throws a series of punches but Vanpelten avoids them all with ease.
Math Prush is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Prush connects with a solid leg kick.
Vanpelten tries to clinch but Prush is having none of it.
Vanpelten looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Prush, as that shot connected.
Vanpelten takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Vanpelten swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Prush lands a head shot.
Vanpelten blocks a leg kick.
Prush throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Vanpelten stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Vanpelten steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Prush. That one must have hurt.
Prush connects with a solid leg kick.

A chopping leg kick lands by Prush.
Prush digs a good hook to Vanpelten's body.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Prush throws a head kick that Vanpelten semi-blocks.
Prush throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Prush lets loose with a powerful body kick. Vanpelten will feel that in the morning.
Prush lands a right hook to the body.
Vanpelten takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Prush lands a nice leg kick that just misses Vanpelten's sensitive parts.
Prush scores with a jab.
Prush lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

and Prush counters with a head kick. That will keep Vanpelten thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Prush throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Vanpelten stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Prush.

Vanpelten takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Prush lands a nice hook to Vanpelten's body. Vanpelten takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Prush throws a quick inside leg kick.
Vanpelten takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Vanpelten has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Prush.
A low kick from Vanpelten misses
and Prush makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Prush fakes the leg kick and cracks Vanpelten in the body.
Vanpelten's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Prush scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Prush connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Prush lands a leg kick that knocks Vanpelten off balance momentarily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vanpelten shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Prush as he avoids it easily.
Prush is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
Vanpelten takes one on the button.

Prush chopping away at his opponent's legs.
Prush is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.

enabling Vanpelten to counter with a crisp jab.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Vanpelten wants to clinch
and Prush counters with a nice low kick that buckles Vanpelten's knee momentarily.
Vanpelten tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Prush paws at him with a jab and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Math Prush dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Vanpelten sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Prush throws a combination. Vanpelten tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Prush misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Prush is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Vanpelten can do to turn this around?
Prush fails with an attempt to clinch.

Prush tries to keep at a distance but Vanpelten has taken the fight into the clinch.
Prush is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Vanpelten is defending well for now.

Vanpelten throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Prush blocks it with crossed arms.

Math Prush has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Russ Vanpelten.

Vanpelten has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Prush avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Prush makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Prush presses Vanpelten against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Vanpelten tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Prush smiles and moves away.
Math Prush is winning the standup battle so far.
Prush fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Vanpelten misses with a low kick.
Prush throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Vanpelten throws out a loose jab but Prush uses good head movement to avoid it.
Vanpelten misses with a leg kick
and Prush counters with a straight right hand.
Prush throws a wild body kick that Vanpelten sees coming a mile off.
Math Prush is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Vanpelten throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Vanpelten lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Vanpelten throws a hook but Prush blocks it.
Vanpelten throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Prush's waist but Prush gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Vanpelten off to one side.

Vanpelten walks forward, straight into a front kick from Prush.
The fighters are starting to get sweaty, which will make takedowns a bit more tricky.
Prush throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Vanpelten.
Vanpelten takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
Prush really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Prush lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Vanpelten has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Vanpelten and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Vanpelten throws a leg kick which misses Prush's front leg but catches the back leg as Prush tries to avoid it.
Prush keeps the fight on the outside.
Prush tries to land a body kick

and Vanpelten counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Prush's guard now.
Vanpelten trying to control the position from guard on top but Prush is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Prush working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Vanpelten.

Prush has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Vanpelten should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Prush has tightened it up now! Vanpelten should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
