Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tonka Tomas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Miles Granville (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tonka Tomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Miles Granville! The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Chad Campbell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tomas scores with a punch to the head. Granville keeps the fight on the outside. Tonka Tomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Tomas misses with a double jab.
Granville shoots for a takedown but Tomas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tomas throws a left that rocks Granville and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Tomas dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Granville regain composure!
Granville is rocked! Tomas content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though. Granville is still in real trouble! Can Tomas finish him? Granville tries to get back to half guard but can't. Granville seems to have recovered his senses. Granville wants to control but Tomas postures up. Tomas trying to control the position but Granville is working away. Granville is looking to reverse the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tomas throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Granville works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure. Tomas is thwarting Granville's attempts to control the position.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Tomas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot. A big left from Tomas misses. Tomas jabbing away but nothing is landing. Granville bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. Tomas pushing out the jab but it's not landing. The fighters circling - Tomas throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Granville staying out of range there. Granville shoots for a takedown but Tomas saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Tomas misses with an attempted mid kick.
Granville feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position. Granville looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Granville avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Granville trying to control the position from guard on top but Tomas is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Granville throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Tomas works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Granville drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Granville jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Tomas is breathing heavily. Granville slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Tomas is trying to get back to half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Granville thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Tomas might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Granville wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Tomas, who protects the arm well. Granville is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Tomas will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already. Granville thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Granville throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Granville has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tomas is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Granville yanks on the arm and Tomas is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Granville.
