Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Paul Whyte (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Dalton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Paul Whyte! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jordan Dalton! The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Tiny Johnson and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dalton looks for a takedown but Whyte sprawls well. Whyte misses with a takedown attempt - Dalton sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Whyte shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Dalton napping and manages to drive through into side control! Dalton struggling a bit here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Dalton throws an elbow to the body but it doesn't land. Dalton wants to control but Whyte postures up. Dalton tries to bench press Whyte off him but Whyte keeps the position. Whyte tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Whyte working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dalton is being controlled here. Whyte has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Whyte wants to lay and pray for a moment but Dalton keeps working. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dalton can't do much from the bottom here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Whyte takes a head kick and keeps coming.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Whyte tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dalton swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dalton clinches up with Whyte and pushes him back against the cage. Dalton ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dalton no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Dalton wants to stand up but Whyte is controlling him. Dalton trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from! Dalton keeping moving, preventing Whyte from controlling successfully. Whyte's corner is telling him to maintain position. Whyte trying to control the position from guard on top but Dalton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Whyte trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Paul Whyte. Whyte clinches but Dalton breaks the clinch and Dalton counters with a nice low kick that buckles Whyte's knee momentarily. Whyte darts in trying to clinch and Dalton connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Dalton has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Dalton there as he acknowledges the shot. Dalton blocks a head kick by Whyte.
Whyte darts in trying to clinch and Dalton counters with a flying knee. Nice. Whyte moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Whyte doesn't manage to clinch there - Dalton circles away.
Whyte darts in trying to clinch and Dalton counters with a head kick. That will keep Whyte thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Whyte has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Dalton. Dalton throws a head kick but Whyte moves out of range.
Whyte closes the distance looking to clinch and Dalton counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Dalton. Whyte tries to pull guard but Dalton holds him up against the cage and eventually Whyte drops back down to his feet.
Whyte prevents Dalton from breaking the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Jordan Dalton will probably get the nod. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.
Dalton lands with a head kick! That's gotta hurt. Dalton tries to close the distance and clinch up but Whyte swats him away and circles back towards the center. Whyte closes the distance and clinches up with Dalton, looking for a takedown. Whyte pushes Dalton against the cage but Dalton circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dalton gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Whyte to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Whyte got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dalton has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Whyte has managed to get both his arms back between Dalton's legs - danger averted. Dalton keeping full guard, as Whyte tries to pass. Dalton throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.
That's one minute gone in the round. Whyte stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Dalton swivels though and keeps the full guard. Dalton working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Whyte doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Whyte manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Whyte pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Dalton is keeping the position for now. Whyte might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Whyte being controlled here momentarily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Dalton wants to stand and escape but Whyte is having none of it. Dalton keeping moving, preventing Whyte from controlling successfully. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Whyte has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Dalton to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Whyte is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Dalton pulls down on the head and he's put Whyte to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Jordan Dalton!
