Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Helsinki, Daniel McVicar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, James Ardonia!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ardonia gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
McVicar is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ardonia tries to land a knee to the head but McVicar blocks with his arms.

Ardonia breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
McVicar throws a leg kick but Ardonia checks it.
Nice takedown defense from Ardonia. No joy for McVicar on that attempt.
Ardonia tries to clinch but McVicar is having none of it.
McVicar lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Ardonia backs up against the cage.
McVicar changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
McVicar stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
McVicar misses with a series of wild punches.
McVicar misses the shot to the body.
Ardonia misses with a double jab
and McVicar counters with a three punch combo that has Ardonia backing up. Ardonia nods at McVicar to acknowledge the strikes.
McVicar will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
McVicar throws a head kick that misses.
Daniel McVicar seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McVicar misses with a double jab
and Ardonia counters with a leg kick.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McVicar tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Ardonia manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McVicar scores with a jab to the body.
Ardonia swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by McVicar.
Ardonia swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ardonia takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
The fighters circle, before Ardonia throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into McVicar's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Ardonia lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:22 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Kick & Punches). James Ardonia!
